  1. Interesting about the previous discus world record holder is that Shult only threw over 70m one other time in his career
  2. 14 men achieved the olympic standard in discus and 8 of them with results from this competition
  3. 2nd in the very first major and working the first yesr as professional by Ludvig Åberg! Made me interested in golf for the first time in forever!
  4. Wow! Even if it is an arena that charges the direction of throwing based on the wins and it was 21 m/a and it is strange that they don't have rules such as the sprints and long jump/triple jump, it is still very impressive and would have been interesting to see Ceh and Ståhl here too.
  5. Let's hope so! And from my view as I know most of the swedes, they are quite good people too😄 also liked team Fujisawa very much since their first WCH final. And and the only time I have interacted with Fujisawa, short by the coffe machine at a hotel breakfast she seemed like a very sweet person. Homan a bit more difficult to get close to and get a picture of while I mer her but such a great player!
  6. Grand slam Players championship qualifiers: women: Direct to semi: Homan-CAN, Wranå-SWE to QF: Gim-KOR, Tirinzoni-SUI, Kim-KOR, Hasselborg -SWE men: direct to semi: McEwen-CAN, Mouat-SCO to QF: Edin-SWE, Gushue-CAN, White-SCO, Retornaz-ITA
  7. Already yesterday Gushue got revenge on Edin after the world final, Winning the group stage game in Players championship. Mouat going strong winning against both Gushue and Edin.
  8. Sweden finished 5th last year ;)
  9. I like the ranking system even if I agree with you. Like my team, could probably be top-50 instead of 116 if we played more abroad. I think the formula is quite good where tournaments are worth more depending on the strength of the opponents. However it should really only count the strenght of those you finish ahead of. An example is the swedish championship this year where the gold was worth much less points than the silver or bronze last year. The only real difference was that Edin did not participate, and should you really get more points just because the team/s ahead of you are stronger. A gold without Edin should be about the same value as a silver without. However if you are invited to the very most awarding tournaments- the grand slams- that is based on rankings and not special invitations. Goesgens btw won Sun City Cup in Karlstad recently where Edin came 3rd and Klima didn´t qualify for playoffs.
  10. Goesgens are ranked #31 and Klima #63 on the world ranking so not so surprising, but of course Netherlands have always been better on tour than when they have played championships.
  11. Öberg sisters finished 5th in single mixed at Swedish champs. Only 5 seconds from silver. Apparantly Two girls in a team was accepted Peppe Femling won gold in his very last race, in team with girlfriend Anna Magnusson.
  12. Öberg-sisters will compete together in the single mixed relay in the Swedish championship. Will be interesting to see against the real mixed teams

  15. SWE women sprint Championship: 1. Hanna Öberg (0+1) 2. Anna Magnusson (0+1) 3. Elvira Öberg (3+1!!!)
  16. SWE Championship sprint men: 1. Nelin 2. Sjökvist 3. O. Brandt
  17. Dophaug won norwegian Championship 30km. 2:49 before amerikan Laukli in second
  18. Petter Northug still good enough to win silver at norwegian nationals in team sprint!
  19. Pretty sure Jonnas race today would have won in WC too. Would have finished 25th in mens race before world junior medalist Anton Grahn among others. 10 km classic individual start men: 1. Edvin Anger 2. William Poromaa 3. Jens Burman
  20. Jonna Sundling won her 3rd swedish title in 3 days, winning the 10 km classic individual start by 32 seconds. Silver to Ebba Andersson and bronze to Linn Svahn.
  21. SWE nationals Team Sprint: Women 1. Emma Ribom/Jonna Sundling 2. Moa Ilar/Maja Dahlqvist 3. Jenny Larsson/Linn Svahn Men 1. William Poromaa/Edvin Anger 2. Anton Persson/Oskar Svensson 3. Elias Danielsson/Emil Danielsson
  22. Don´t think that was so serious comment but yes still stupid. Fun fact btw from yesterday´s races. It was Maja Dahlqvists first ever national championship medal. Just took some world cup wins, and world and olympic medals first, and it wasn´t even in a sprint or in a very good season.
  23. What is so sad is how few Open men there are. Still more acceptance for gay women in sports than men.
  24. Swedish nationals 20 km mass start freestyle today. womens podium could have been a sprint world cup podium 1. Sundling 2. Svahn 3. Dahlqvist On men's side more establisjed names such as Burman and Poromaa finished 10 and 11. Frida Karlsson (7th) and Ebba Andersson missed podium on women side, a bit of a surprise, but Anderssons boyfriend won men's gold. 1. Berglund 2. Jutterström 3. Rosjö
