  1. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
  2. The fact that Canada is currently shoulder to shoulder with Sweden and Belarus is pretty impressive nonetheless. Making up time, too.
  3. Well, I live in China and am surrounded by a dozen or so nationalities of all kinds. Our chat group's biggest meme is Russian dopers at the Olympics.
  4. It's unfortunate that we always have to question an unexpected good result from Russian athletes, but they (and the IOC along with other governing bodies) have done it to themselves.
  5. Out of 8 runs for the Canadians, they fell on 6 of them. Four Canadians managed to land only 2 clean(ish) runs on the day. We Are Wipeout!
  6. One (out of four) Canadians -Moffatt - makes it to the slopestyle final. Barely, but he's there.
  7. Let's hope Weidemann can complete her set of medals here in Beijing (she's already got a bronze and a silver so far). First time since 2010 that more than one Canadian speed skater has won a medal. Things have not been going great for our speed skaters, particularly on the men's side, so let's hope things turn around this afternoon!
  8. Weidenmann's third medal at these Games! Let's hope she can complete the set like Max did. First time since 2010 more than one speed skater will get a medal!
  9. I can't believe the snowboard programme is done already. It feels like it was a bit rushed, especially having both big air finals on the same day. Good (not great) Games for Canada in snowboard, and lots of exciting competitions from everyone. Very enjoyable to watch.
  10. I'm kind of annoyed at this controversy. McMorris laid down the best run of the day, and in the end the medals for countries worked out. Su missed half the rail section and wasn't clean on his first two jumps. He landed a massive last jump, but that's like 1/6 of the total score even though it's often the biggest. Him getting gold would have been a joke given the rest of his run.
  11. And with that, the snowboard program is over (seems really early to be finished, feel like it was rushed). Six medals, was hoping for 4-5, so successful.
  12. Five Canadian snowboarders combined for 15 jumps in Big Air today and fell a combined 8 times. We Are Wipeout!
  13. Parrot into silver position, which is great. But Canada will never get a gold again.
  14. All three Canadians still have a shot at the podium, only Parrot has a shot at gold and needs a big one on his last jump.
  15. Holy, it should not have come down to that. But Canada got the win. Good for China for fighting till the end.
  16. Holy, it should not have come down to that. But got the win. Good for China for fighting till the end.
