    Australia

It's the 2nd gold medal of the day for Oceania, I think that's a sort of record

    Yup, very historical day.

First time Australia has gotten two medals in one day at the winter games, also the first gold since lydia lassila, and our 6th overall.

New Zealand's first gold at the winter games earlier in slopestyle, so yup it's a record for OCE.

Speaking of records, I think Jakara Anthony is the first time at least in the women's competition someone has taken first in qualifying and all three finals.

So nice of Hosszu to not start in the butterfly. Now nobody will be sad about being the one swimmer missing the semi final! :p

Adding onto this, how nice of Qin Haiyang to get disqualified.

Giving Murdoch a spot in the semis haha

Any idea what he did to get disqualified, I noticed he was tied for first in his heat.

Yes doesnt need much times , some people listen the beginin only, when the taste doesnt suit

Oceania has 2 participating  and The deadline of voting is march 5 , if we focus on  our personnal life no one will participate

you can do it just like all of us

    Eh, I'll try.

Then forget about the forum like usual.

Someone had to contact me via social media to get me to vote last time:facepalm:

  4. Montaigne's live performance was amazing, even though it throw off the vocals at times. Which I suprisingly liked.

No doubt they'll fix that up before may.

Loved how the whole performance was done with the singular camera without interacting with the audience. I think it works well with the song and the genre.

Clear favourite song right now, I'm not liking the other 5 songs released so far.

    no, my friend...:finger:

    you're completely wrong...

those events have not been broadcasted on free tv (only) because of the crazy raising of the tv rights costs and the current hypocrisy for the socalled "spending review"...

here in  Italy it's also the same story...our public / free commercial networks just ignore the vast majority of sport events because of supposed lack of money (the truth is that they just prefer wasting it in stupid tv shows like dancing with the stars -where the supposed "stars" are overpayed a scandalous amount of money- or the Sanremo Song Festival)...

but this doesn't mean that there's a lack of interest or a decreased attention among the people...

and no...it's not time to slim down...actually, it's time to make the Summer Games a full 3-week event, growing to 35 sports and 400 events (at least)...:pope:

meanwhile the Winter Games are good as they are, and who cares if it's only a matter for half the world or so...

because there's nothing like the Olympic Games in the world...you can add to the calendar as many international events as you want, but they are not and will never be even comparable to the charm, the feeling, the hype, the prestige and the importance of the Olympic Games...

Have to agree, some networks like 10 literally only have motorsport as the sport content on their channels.

So we get long droughts of sport on that network waiting for F1, MotoGP etc to come back.

Meanwhile they keep showing reruns of crime shows and court room dramas.

Meanwhile other networks got stuff like AFL, NFL, NRL, Cricket, Tennis, NBA, Soccer etc.

    Thanks CBS :yes

Man, China is losing sports event be left and right. This is also shows the massive amount of money China has invested in sports. It’s crazy honestly.

Yeah, the LPL (League of Legends pro league) has postponed week 2 of the league indefinitely and that league has a lot poured into it. The league much like traditional sport is franchised and has high production value and viewership. A lot of money as been put into this stuff.

The league of legends world championship will also be in China this year.

The Overwatch League will have 11 events in China and 13 in Asia altogether. Who knows what'll happen to those. And Overwatch League is another esports league with lots money attached to it.

They've invested lots into esports and sports in general so it sucks to see that come to a grinding halt.
