  1. First time ever rider won a stage at Tour de Pologne
  2. Again day full of attractions: - Athletics - 50km Race Walking that's biggest for me (probably for the last time ), except that Men's 4x400m heats, Women's Race Walking, Women's Javelin nad 400m - Basketball - women's SF - Beach Volleyball - women's medal matches - Boxing - only five fights but still... - Canoe Sprint - especially Men's C1 1000m and both fours - Track Cycling - Women's Madison looks most interesting, except that finals of Men's Sprint and first day of Women's Sprint - Football - women's final - Handball - women's SF - Field Hockey - women's medal matches - Modern Pentathlon - women's competition - Sport Climbing - Women's Combined final (maybe with Ola Miroslaw, who knows?) - Table Tennis - Men's Team final - Volleyball - women's SF - Water Polo - men's SF - Wrestling - another day of freestyle
  3. At Tour de Pologne 90km to go, two guys at the front - Maciej Paterski from Poland Team and Julius van den Berg from EF Pro Cycling, so the same guys who escaped yesterday. Their advantage is 5 minutes but it decreases.
  4. So if we would be members of IOC and had to chose than Games would be... nowhere really
  5. For me in day 12th most important would be: - Athletics - Men's Shot Put final (I'm really curious if it will be at the same level as in Doha), Men's Hurdles, Men's Race Walking, Men's 400m, end of Decathlon and Women's 4x400m heats (did I mention that I love 4x400m relays?) - Beskatball - men's SF - Boxing - another final and some semis - Canoe Sprint - especially Women's C1 200m and K1 500m because of Polish girls - Track Cycling - really interesting day Women's Omnium and Keirin and also Men's Sprint but only because of Mateusz Rudyk, to be honest individual sprint is probably most boring event on track - Handball - men's SF - Field Hockey - men's medal matches - Open Water Swimming - Men's 10km - Modern Pentathlon - I truly love this sport so even Fencing Ranking Round is something I would follow even if TV broadcast is poor - Sport Climbing - I really don't like Combined very much but Sport Climbing itself I loved moment I saw it first time at YOG in Buenos Aires so I would definitely watch final - Table Tennis - final of Women's Team - Volleyball - men's SF (hope with Poland but I would watch even without our team) - Water Polo - women's SF - Wrestling - Men's and Women's Freestyle finals Damn, it's really busy day
  6. It wasn't a photographer, it was a referee (or at least everyone are saying that). Marca Sarreau from FDJ also in hospital. And probably few more.
  7. "Jakobsen lost consciousness, the impact was hard but he regained his breath" - Czeslaw Lang, Director of TdP.
  8. There are some conflicting information. First at TVP said that Jakobsen was in a coma and taken to the hospital by chopper now Kamil Wolnicki (Przeglad Sportowy) is saying that he was still laying down on the road few minutes ago but should be taken to the hospital by ambulance in any minute. So we know nothing. Also I heard from a friend that referee is alive and was taken to the hospital also.
  9. It wasn't mistakes, it was his psyche. At least in Rio it was because he had in his head what he did in London. And now he'll have there what he did in both London and Rio. It'll be a huge pression and I'm not totally sure that he can manage that. WCh is a different thing, it's his home but Olympics? I think Wlodarczyk is bigger favourite for gold than Fajdek. It's ironic cause she has some rivals who can defeat her, especially that she's after ijnury. Fajdek can lose only with himself but it's a very dangerous opponent. Someone ones told me that Fajdek will never get an olympic medal. It was after Moscow or Beijing WCh, I don't remember. I do remember however that I laughed in his face back then. And after that came Rio and now I'm not so sure that he was wrong. But I hope he was.
  10. Will he? Will he really be in a final? More likely Polish-Japanesse for bronze and two Dutchmen in final
  11. - Athletics - Men's Hammer and Men's 800m would be most interesting for me, also Women's 3000m Steeple and first day of Decathlon - Boxing - another final and some semifinals - Track Cycling - Men's Team Pursuit final and Men's Sprint which is the biggest and probably the only one chance for a medal for Poland - Equestrian - Jumping final - Open Water Swimming - Women's 10km - Sailing - 470 medal races - Wrestling - last day of Greco-Roman finals and some Women's and Freestyle competitions
  12. Well if we want to fight for medal we have to win with this kind of teams. And to be honest if our guys won't get any I probably prefer that they loose in QF than in bronze medal match. I was really dissapointed when our handball team lost with Iceland in Beijing but it was nothing compare to their lost in Rio with Denmark. And we was bigger favourite in 2008 than in 2016. Not likely, I'm affraid Our biggest chance for gold in this century was Piotr Siemionowski and we all remember how it ended. And despite the fact that we have very talented girls and there is also Tomasz Kaczor, none of them is on position of Siemionowski before London. That's only quarterfinals Of course I will be watching matches, especially the one with our team but finals are more important to me.
  13. - Artistic Gymnastics - last day of apparatus finals - Athletics - Men's Pole Vault final, Duplantis vs Kendricks should one of the most interesting competitions of this Games. And of course Women's Hammer Throw final in which, I'm sure of it, Anita Wlodarczyk will win gold. - Boxing - first finals - Canoe Sprint - especially Women's K1 200m and K2 500m where I count for medals - Track Cycling - Men's Team Sprint is always very spectaculary - Sailing - Finn and Nacra medal races - Wrestling - another Greco-Roman finals and of course women's competition
  14. Ok, let's see: Atlanta 1996 - Magic day 21st of July. Three gold medals for Poland: Ryszard Wolny (greco-roman wrestling 68kg), Andrzej Wroński (greco-roman wrestling 100kg) and Pawel Nastula (judo 95kg). Poland was even leader of medal table I believe because we had four golds at that time (Renata Mauer get one in 10m air rifle day before that) but I'm not sure. Nagano 1998 - To be honest I don't have one. It was time I was still very young and I was watching olympics only because of polish athletes and we wasn't very good in winter sports back then (but there was some good starts like Andrzej Bachleda in alpine combined or men's biathlon relay) Sydney 2000 - Robert Korzeniowski gold in 20km race walking. He was second when he cross the line but after the race winner Mexican Segura was DSQ for running. Korzeniowski found out about that during interview for polish television. Salt Lake City 2002 - Bjoerndalen four gold medals in biathlon, Lajunen three golds in nordic combined and of course Steven Bradbury. Athens 2004 - Magic day for Argentina. Two golds, one in basketball, one in football. First golds from a very long time. Torino 2006 - Shaun White gold in halfpipe and Martins Rubenis gets first winter medal for Latvia. Beijing 2008 - Bolt beating Johnson's WR on 200m and three golds of Chris Hoy. Vancouver 2010 - Kowalczyk beat Bjoergen in 30km and Steven Holcomb gold in four-man bobsleigh. London 2012 - Opening ceremony and Felix Sanchez gold. Sochi 2014 - I don't know, it was magical olympics. Two golds of Kamil Stoch, gold of Zbigniew Brodka (who wins it with advantage of 0,003s!), gold of Justyna Kowalczyk (won with broken foot). And ladies first ski jumping competition. Rio 2016 - Wayde van Niekerk WR on 400m and Ruth Beitia gold in high jump. And also WR of Anita Wlodarczyk in hammer. Pyeongchang 2018 - Two gold medals in two-man bobsleigh for Kripps and Friedrich, David Gleirscher gold in men's singles luge and German ice hockey team. Tokyo 2020 - Opening ceremony because when it'll begin I'll know that everything is just fine.
  15. Well, you have to enter some section (for your thread Totallympics Mixed Zone would be probably the best) and then click "New Thread" or "New Topic" (I can't remember) in right-up corner (or if you have Polish language then it's "Nowy temat").
  16. My 10th day would be look like this: - artistic gymnastics apparatus finals day 2 - athletics - from finals most interesting for me is 3000m steeplachase but also men's hammer qualifications should be like this because of Pawel Fajdek, will he finally advance to the olympic final for the first time in his life or again not? - badminton finals - cycling track - my favorite kind of cycling (yeah, I know, it's strange) so I definitely would watch every day of competition - equestrian - end of eventing (for me most interesting) competition - sailing - 49er and 49erFX medal races - shooting - men's rapid pistol final - it's my favorite kind of pistol/rifle events - wrestling - first finals but also other event in my favorite greco-roman and also some women's competition
  17. Maybe it would but who says that every man acts logically? But serious. Everything depends on what is his goal with this changing of discipline. Is it only fun for him? A great adventure which he can start because of home olympics? Or he wants to fight for an olympic medal on which he doesn't have big chance in athletics?
  18. Couldn't write yesterday so I'll catch up if you don't mind. So 8th day: - archery men's finals - athletics - especially 4x400m mixed; I don't like idea of mixed events very much but I love 4x400m relays on the other hand so... - badminton doubles finals - rugby 7 women's finals - sailing RS:X medal races - shooting mixed team trap (same problem as in athletics) - triathlon mixed relay (and again) And now 9th day: - artistic gymnastics finals - athletics - probably men's 800m semis would be more exciting for me than men's 100m final - badminton women's single finals - sailing laser and laser radial medal races - swimming - all my favourite distances would be that day: 50m freestyle, 4x100m medley and 1500m - first day of wrestling
  19. Everything is possible. Many bobsledder started as crewman (I forgot this word when I was writing last message ) but later changed to driver. And because we are talking about 2026 I was curious if Tortu said something more about his plans. Maybe he want to start as crewman for 1-2 years and later change to driver?
  20. As a driver or just... em... regular bobsledder?
  21. I certainly would have problems with choose what to watch. There's last canoe slalom final, there's archery, batminton, rowing, table tennis and first day of athletics. I say that K1 in slalom, both eights in rowing and badminton mixed doubles final would be most interesting for me.
  22. Of course Zakopane. I was thinking about Zakopane but wrote Wisla
  23. Yeah, but that's not IAAF department if I'm not worng IOC is very supported about mixed events this days and IAAF obviously wants to use that. The same as with 4x400 before but this time is not event created specially for the olympics.
  24. Don't be afraid There's summer events every year. Competition would be probably in Wisla where summer Grand Prix is nothing new so arena is checked and secure. I don't think that there would start many athletes who doesn't start in summer GP or Continental Cup so all of them should be experienced. I feel the same. Also I am wondering if motosport should be run in this kind of event. But maybe it's some kind of Polish tradition? At Wroclaw's World Games there was speedway, now trial in Krakow
