  1. Antoine Valois fortier Judo bronze medalist in 2012 retired. Jennifer Abel in diving has also retired, won multiple WC and Olympic medals
  2. So apparently you must meet a standard to even try to qualify for the Olympics now? Lol
  3. And the USA destroyed Colombia in women's softball, https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Softball/News/2021/November/28/Cagle-shines-at-the-plate-as-Team-USA-claims-29-0-win-over-Colombia
  4. As expected sweeps all three badminton golds.
  5. "A fifth player/alternate will be added to the men’s team at a later date"
  6. And wins its first gold, in mixed doubles badminton... perhaps two more to follow today
  7. 3x3 basketball teams confirmed: https://www.fiba.basketball/en/news/fourteen-teams-confirmed-for-3x3-s-debut-at-commonwealth-games-2022
  8. And imagine if the IOC allowed the monobob to have 25 entries like it did with the other two individual events from the IBSF, both would be qualified, and have room to spare...
  9. Brad Gushue and team will represent Canada. This means two former Olympic champion skips will represent Canada, and hopefully that means 2018 is a just a blip
  10. Yea no interest basically. Only Badminton and Gymnastics (partial) has its A team here, and in total only 31 athletes.
  11. If you had told me Canada would have 3 top 10 performances this World cup I would have called you crazy. Wow.
  12. Hoping its Brad Gushue, only one to bear Mouat all season.
  13. And now Vietnam is in the last qualifying spot in the women's monobob... wow
  14. Yea... at one point the IOC will target fencing for the axe if it doesn't evolve.
  15. On the men's side since 2002, Kevin and Brad are the leads of the skip alternating. So if the streak were to continue, Brad Gushue would need to win
  16. What I meant is allow the individual athletes to finish... send them home and then bring in the team only athletes for the team events. That way the village isn't swelled up with fencers...and stays at the same number at any given time.
  17. The transfer of quotas from team to individual makes sense, if the IOC will allow it. They tested a two wave approach in Lausanne and its definitely possible and would allow more athletes to compete, while keeping costs down.
  18. Case in point the website: https://www.calivalle2021.com/en/medalleria/deporte/2596/organizacion/353 It has a five way tie for triathlon gold... like lol
  19. If they want it ,they will likely get it, and become the first three time host of the event: https://o.canada.com/news/news-news/winnipeg-to-explore-a-pan-am-games-bid
