  2. Comparatively less cluttered week 3×3 Asia Cup is the one and only event to watch. It's been really fun watching some exciting buzzer beaters and OT matches. Sri Lankan men were fantastic with their upset over . Also men's match, women's match, , , , men's matches were some of the matches I enjoyed the most. Hoping for Indian women to claim an upset win and reach QF tomorrow. This being the only event should be able to watch most of the matches. On Sunday though for a short time would watch Dika Toua the first female weightlifter at Olympics to have lifted weight secure ticket to her 6th Olympic games. Monday onwards it's the IWF WC where I'd try to watch A groups of Olympic Medal Classes. On Saturday it's the Oceania Taekwondo Qualifier which is set for record participation from athletes and nations in the continent. 45 have registered as per the WT page including coaches and support staff. But usually 70% of the registered in event are players so at least hoping 30+ will be in action. That should be a cracker.
  3. With the quota today Samoa will have a squad of over 20 for the first time. 16 already qualified+ 2 swimming+ 1 athletics + 2 weightlifting. Could be a few more
  4. Lol I saw the results where it was VFO I read as VFA
  5. Actually I did expect the Samoan to win the quota. It's Gaku Akazawa and I was surprised when he lost in GR the other day to Australian, so I had asked as the Samoan is the Oceania champion in the weights in both GR and FS(had read a article like that about him). But @thepharoah what's with Egypt Wrestling I'm sure I haven't seen them so low at Qualifiers losing so many with big margins. Also wrestlers beat by fall very easily, not common in men's wrestling I believe.
  6. One has to be in Top 16 in the world to accept the quota. Ford isn't but there are 16 wrestlers only in category.
  7. For Mia the match against Ivorian wrestler was crucial which she was as close as it gets 4-4. For Rckaela the last minute take down was enough for quota.
  8. Over to Rcqaela Aquino for her 2nd consecutive Olympics
  9. Women's Wrestling It's the Acquino Sisters doing the nation proud. Mia Lahnee Ramos Aquino - Women's 53kg
  10. I was really betting on Rcqaela Aquino in 57kg to qualify for her 2nd consecutive Olympics
  11. You sure these wrestlers followed the fast during Ramadan ? Egypt CHEATEEEEERS almost prevented the only country in world following Ramadan without exception to qualify in wrestling
  12. 110 is a fair number. Rowing we can only qualify 1 boat at Asian Qualifiers as per the rules
  13. Right so basically a lucky draw or they may consider Asiad performances ?
  14. But if wrestlers are different will the nations get that seed or fresh draw

  16. - From 55kg to 100kg and 55 to 80+ there are 10 and 7 categories in men and women respectively at every 5kg gap. - Moreover Right Arm and Left Arm are two separate categories meaning a total of 34 medal events. - Losing semifinalist get bronze medals - No limit on entry per nation. Multiple arm wrestlers from Ghana are participating in each event on an average 6 per each category. -In Women's 60kg is the only nation participating with 7 arm wrestlers. All other events there are at least 1 arm wrestler from other country.
  17. has won 9G 22S 15B at the African Games. 8G 19S 14B are from Arm Wrestling
  18. Omar Yaseer Ismail becomes the first Taekwondo qualifier from Palestine too marking the nation's debut in the sport at the games
