It seems the 2012 Olympic Games weightlifting farce continues to give: https://www.iwf.net/2020/01/10/public-disclosure-158/ "The International Weightlifting Federation has said Romanians Roxana Cocos and Razvan Martin are suspected of using banned steroids after their 2012 samples were re-tested using modern technology... Also a Turkish lifter who didn’t win a medal, Erol Bilgin, could also be disqualified. He was eighth in the men’s 62kg event." https://apnews.com/812449f58200341bbbb3f96b5932bc0d Roxana Cocos - Silver medallist in 69kg Razvan Martin - Bronze medallist in 69kg Erol Bilgin If Cocos is disqualified: Anna Nurmukhambetova - Would move from bronze to silver Ubaldina Valoyes - Would move from 4th to bronze If Martin is disqualified: Kim Myong-Hok - Would move from 4th to bronze1 point -

I didn't follow one single Karate PL event and they did this ! winning 5 gold and 1 bronze with only 8 athletes is quite an achievement even though it wasn't the highest level of the competition. but I still can't understand why they had to send Askari, Poursheib and Ganjzadeh halfway the world for this ?! they are very safe for the quota. no idea how coach wants to solve Ganjzadeh/Poursheib question though. maybe just sending both of them everywhere to see which one will have more points at the end ! but on the women's side, they needed all those points, Rozy Alipour and Abbasali put themselves in a better position with those gold medals.1 point
