OK, I must admit, the security of VIPs here is very good, but the most VIP among the VIPs is really a nice man. One would say "a good fellow", but I always have a respect to the monarchy - that's why I don't have my cap on at this picture:

France will get a bunch of free quotas next time around...

You say the same in almost every contest difficult to believe from someone that has a million posts on a sports forum, majority of them results.

lol, if Kosovo qualifies from that group, one of Georgia, North Macedonia, Belarus and Luxembourg will also have a spot at the Euros.

So when the US beats Brazil on Monday, it will confirm that the 2 Americas quotas go to the United States and Argentina

I honestly don't see how that has even remotely as much of an influence as winning the 24th Grand Slam would have. At all. Serena Williams really does not need the Olympics.

So Andreescu is on the verge of her first ever Grand Slam win, I wonder if Williams is able to fuck the celebrations up as well as she did with Osaka's first GS win!

I can understand that point of view...probably, I'd also wash my hands with that kind of an excusation, if I had to take this kind of decision...

Excellent finish in the Brussels Cycling Classic* *which is just a very generic race, as is pretty much every race that wants to make itself look big by putting 'Classic' in the name even though nobody actually sees it as a classic.

Do you understand that it doesn't make sense to always compare France with every other country in every sport? Italy is expected to do better than France in shotgun, would you be ok with France only qualifying one team in handball because anyway it's more than Italy?

So that explains my yesterday's troubles.

In several countries (not everywhere, I believe) Wikipedia has been down pretty much non-stop since early last night. Here it worked for a few minutes now and then and only since one or two hours it seems to be working completely normal again.

@ahjfcshfghb and @phelps It's very likely you both know much more about this than I do. I never use my Eursport Player because I have access to Eurosport through a company. I just tried to answer heywoodu's question. If you say it should work outside Europe, I guess heywoodu would be very pleased with that.

the rules say it's about the ranking points...but if both are above all the rest of the field, it might well be that the Iran's NF can somehow (unofficially) decide who's going to tokyo by withdrawing the one they want to stop by the end of the OQP (for instance, saying he's unable to attend the Games because he has a long term injury)...

I doubt that any American or Australian surfing enthusiast or aficionado would share your view . this just sounds like another sporting federation full of fat Europeans who are professional committeemen

doesn't have an official anthem nor does it have an NOC. The closest thing to an anthem is probably "Jerusalem" which is a call for social justice and doesn't glorify anything apart perhaps from the English countryside.

Your right . I shall punish myself the way. I’ll lock myself in a dog cage and not be feed. I shall flog myself 1 million times. I will pray fo Bach for salvation. I shall never again type the FAI when talking about ground sports.

SVK-CRO basically confirmed that Croatia will take the 1st spot, and HUN-SVK will be incredibly important. The hype is real here, it's the most important match for the Hungarian football in this decade, even more so than the Euro 2016 play-offs against Norway, because of the 4 Euro 2020 games in Budapest.

The sisters Jana and Dana Velďáková both retired today in their last careers races in the Košice main square. the 38 years old twins became famous worldwidely in Beijing 2008, when both as perfect twins finished at their Olympics debuts with the same scores of No Marks in their respective qualifiers in Long Jump and Triple Jump–_Women's_triple_jump and–_Women's_long_jump

For first part, as @nitinsanker said, we can't win any more quotas in 10m Air Rifle Women and 10m Air Pistol Men, hence quota winners are participating there. In other events, quota winners are not participating to maximise our chances of winning quota. Hence, Manu is not competing even in 25m Pistol and Anjum is not competing in 50x3 Rifle. And Manu Bhaker has achieved MQS in 25m Pistol. Most likely, Manu and Rahi would be starters in 25m Pistol, but if Annu or someone else wins a quota in 25m Pistol (high chance considering that 4 quotas will be available at Asian qualifiers), we can nominate Manu from that quota and Heena or Yashaswini from the 10m quota won by Manu. Or we can exchange that quota for a quota in 50x3 Women for Anjum and start Apurvi and Elavenil in 10m. There are lot of ways we can use the extra quota even if Manu and Rahi are almost sure to start. Hence, this policy to maximise the chances to win quota.
