  5. Welcome to Mexico: All countries and juries aboard April 6, 2019.- 2019 Annual TISC organizers have confirmed that each and every one of the National juries and their respective members, have confirmed their participation in this year's edition, dismissing fears that some of them could be left behind. After a slow start in the voting process, most juries send their votes with time to spare before Thursday's deadline, leaving the organizers the task to count and validate the votes until the Big Final two weeks from now. But before, organizers have announced the celebration of the traditional draw that will determine the order each country will have for the aforementioned event. The drawing is taking place today at 11:30 local time, and as per usual, will involve a game show hosted by @OlympicIRL. As part of the celebration, organizing committee revealed it has already booked the flights for the participants, which will start arriving in Mexico City next Tuesday. They will rest there until Thursday, where they will be transported to one of 37 locations across Mexico's other 31 federative entities, where they will enjoy a 4 day stay and discover some of the beautiful places, cuisine, people and traditions the country has to offer, before arriving to Guadalajara the night of April 15th.

  7. Ok, so it is the templates for the assigned team that are now showing as incorrect. But if we leave those templates out and just use the colour on the overall voting table to see what team everyone is assigned to, you will should still see the correct teams and how they should have appeared in the template.. So let me update the last tables now

  9. MEGA UPSET ! in todays forst match defeated 5-3, putting Sweden in HUGE problems now, remember 2 last teams of this group will be relegated and since Sweden lost also to Germany after the penalty shoot-outs, we can technically say that if they´ll not beat Japan, Sweden will be relegated to Division I making potentally the first Sweden Ice Hockey NT ever to be relegated from a Top Division

  34. Denmark makes racket over 'match-fixing' Chinese badminton players Ritzau/The Local news.denmark@thelocal.com @thelocaldenmark 12 November 2018 17:10 CET+01:00 badmintonmatch-fixing Share this article China's Junhui Li, left, and Yuchen Liu, seen here during a different match, lost in the controversial quarter-final in Fuzhou. AP Photo/Aaron Favila/Ritzau Scanpix The national association for badminton in Denmark says the sport's world federation should punish Chinese players for a match at last week's Fuzhou China Open which has been described as a “farce”. Bo Jensen, director of Badminton Denmark, wants the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to take action after seeing footage of a quarter final match in which He Jiting and Ta Qiang defeated Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen in three sets. “I am giving my support to the criticism. This is cheating, it's match-fixing and we can't accept it,” Jensen said to TV2 Sport. “In our context, this is just as bad as doping, and it must be punished because if it is not, we will damage the sport's reputation amongst fans and the many sponsors that are making huge investments at the moment,” he added. Several Danish badminton players are reported to have been present during the match. Doubles pair Mads Pieler Kolding and Mads Conrad-Petersen lodged a complaint with tournament organisers following the match about the way it had been played. Another player, Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, later posted an update on Facebook in which he compared the match to a scandal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London, when eight players from China, South Korea and Indonesia were disqualified for deliberately trying to lose. “This was a complete farce of a match which made me think of the London Olympics when 4 pairs deliberately tried to lose their matches. I kid you not, it was this bad,” Vittinghus wrote, citing errors in play that “just (don't) happen at this level”. “Difficult to get hard evidence, but if you have watched a bare minimum of world class badminton, you'd know what just happened,” he also wrote. The BWF told TV2 Sport that it would not comment on the issue prior to receiving a report from the tournament's organisers.

  44. Ready for more? Meet TAISC’s newest member of our family. January 10, 2019.- After a unique media format has been announced by the hosts, 2019 TAISC is ready to introduce new additions to the contest lineup. So far, previous hosts have showcased their countries, each one of them giving its personal touch to expose their culture and traditions to others. This time organizers aim to further promote the participation of users by creating a series of daily posts, displaying basic info about the host country, its people, geography and culture, not forgetting the musical aspect. As part of their plan, today they disclosed that a new member has entered TISC family. “After winning the bid process, we were in contact with our dear friend Seamus, who requested a little friend to help them promote TISC and of course, create a party atmosphere” the organizing committee told the reporters. “Looking into Mexico’s diverse folklore and legends, we found a little character that will surely get along with our Irish friend and of course will enrich this edition with its own uniqueness to the contest. Without further introductions, ladies & gentlemen we present our mascot: the Mexican axolotl” The “axolotl” is an endemic inhabitant of the Texcoco Lake system in central Mexico and has featured prominently in art and folk legends since Pre-Hispanic times. Moreover, it has recently been adopted as a symbol of Mexico’s efforts for biodiversity. However, this year’s mascot is still lacking a name, which will be chosen by Totallympics users from among 3 options, which should be disclosed during the week, in a process that will last until Thursday March 7th, the last day for the local jury to submit their votes and the start point for the other juries to send theirs.
