  2. 95.05 % votes counted. Zuzana Čaputová destroying the field with incredible 40 % or if you want 796 227 votes !!! Absolutely insane, who would guess that a Female candidate, Liberal, environmental lawyer and activist, continuingly presenting for example among other themes also her ambitions for the recognition of LGBT adoption rights in a strongly catholic and consrvative country will destroy the field with such huge margin (any other politician never had such numbers in the past) and she won in all our districts !!! Very proud to be slovak tonight. so almost officially, the 2nd round will be on Saturday 30th. and the president will be one of Čaputová vs Šefčovič

  4. Yes, but still you'd have a competition where half of the team simply can not go full gas at any moment, because the other half would inevitably drop off. That just goes against the entire spirit of sport.

  10. Final Standing available here Werloc SteveParker Kirkpatrick First place on the very first day with the only perfect prediction during the contest and, finally, rising up to the top at the end! Congrats @Werloc on gold medal! @SteveParker breaks the ice for team Italy and completes a very successful day for Italy at World Championships as well! Well done I think @Kirkpatrick wasn't on the podium at any point, but with greatest score on the final day wins his first ever medal in prediction contests! Congratulation @Federer91 was very close, one point was decisive. Special thanks goes to @wumo26 for being very helpful Thank you everyone who participated, we'll have a short break from prediction contests and will be back with Ice Hockey World Championships.

  12. I'm so happy for Wierer, for finally winning a gold medal, after so many years of disappointments. This girl should have achieved so much more in her career. Definitely has the skills to be a big champion and i have been so angry with all the mishaps, she has had. Now go win the World Cup!

  16. Actually, Windisch won over Doll and Fillon Maillet. Martin Fourcade was 6th, Peiffer 8th, Shipulin 17th, Schempp 21st. I believe JTB was the only big gun missing. Also, Windisch was 4th in the legendary Oslo mass start in 2016, and he missed the last target. Had he hit that one, he would have sprinted for gold. He was the only athlete to shoot 10/10 in last year's Oberhof relay, so he clearly likes these heavily windy conditions.

  30. finally! finally! finally! I'm so happy Doro proved me wrong...at least once in her lifetime! by the way, she got so close to give me reason also this time... but apart from that, I've always been so harsh on her because I've always felt so frustrated by her wasted chances...and more than anything by her reaction, her attitude toward those missed chances... and when it wasn't expected at all, when nobody thought she could do it...bang! the race of her life! p.s. I must confess that a couple of tears have made their appearance down my eyes at the end of the race... p.p.s. however, today it was Vittozzi to give me some "satisfaction"...just started and she already had 3 missed shots... in the end, she came back from second last to 8th (and just on Roeiseland's shoulders)...so, not a disaster, after all... p.p.p.s. however, in the women's division, this is really the world championship of the "Imaginary Invalid"...apart from Oeberg's 15km, there's no race where the podium is not monopolized by supposed sick girls... then they seem to be offended if someone says "I don't trust you at all"...

  31. Well that's easy to say Without Öberg's misses, Sweden would have won the world title. With Kaisa, 16 less misses and minutes faster skiing times, Finland would have won.

  35. Happy St.Patrick's Day Today is our national holiday, St.Patrick's Day, or Paddy's Day as most Irish call it. Each city, town and village will host local parades, the pubs will be filled with music, craic and drunks and we all get the day off work to recover from it all tomorrow .

  43. oh yeah I totally forgot that. mostly because simply we don't care about OQT as we know our only chance is to qualify at the World Cup. I wish the best of luck for Japan to beat Turkey. they are the Olympic host and won't be counted in this case. the Asian Olympic spot will be between China, Iran, Korea. Philippines and Jordan.

  47. To whom it may concern, (and for the first time in a while I write this sentence not to start a cover letter), here is a very brief recap of swimming qualification after some events took place. Please note that, as @phelpspointed out and as I'm sure almost all of you know, every nation uses its own additional qualification criteria, so this is a purely statistical data made for my own fun. At the moment, 25 athletes have reached at least once the minimum A in one event. In total, considering multiple participation for athletes, I counted 34 times that A standard was reached. At the same time, 121 minimum B were also established (maximum 1 per nation per event, not counting nations where an A standard in the relevant event was reached). With this data, this is the current quota distribution: 13 athletes with 18 minimum A achieved; 2 athletes with 4 minimum A achieved; 2 athletes with 3 minimum A achieved; 1 athlete with 2 minimum A achieved; , , and with 1 athlete each, with 1 minimum A. Other nations having achieved at least one minimum B are , Among the qualifying meetings, the most proficient for qualification purposes has been the TYR Pro Swim Series in Des Moines, , with 27 A standard, followed by City of Milan Trophy, with 5, and Greek and Lithuanian national championships, with 1 each. Hali Flickinger, has achieved a minimum A in 3 different events. PS: Please note that I only have partial data regarding Korean National Championships.

  48. I think aiming at 50% of women quota in some sports is a shame considering the number of men/women athletes playing in those sports both in professional and amateur level. Just like having the same prize money in tennis tournaments and then in joint tournaments trying to fix the schedule in order not to show stadiums are full for men's matches and empty for women's matches
