  1. One of the problems of the format of the prediction contest: you basically have to gamble whether or not people are in shape instead of, which would be more normal, being able to predict day-by-day taking the current form into consideration.

  2. I'm fed up with the never ending Brexit soup opera. No one owns them anything, just kick them out and be done with it. Still acting like it's the Empire days and they are better people than the rest. What an obnoxious nation..

  6. Well, there’re not live now. Opening Ceremony is at 3:45 PM US Pacific Time. There not live now, but take a look at this if you want, stream quality is very choppy (you can tell what’s going on though (most of the time)) https://youtu.be/UxXeKiakj2w

  11. Lousy ending of an otherwise nice race, I'd say (although I still think single mixed is more for exhibition races)

  12. IBU had a video about that recently, the 'technique' he invented to throw the rifle on the back faster and win a few seconds that way. Which he apparently is so smart to share with everyone

  20. True. But alright, I know Real Madrid is not in top shape, but if Ajax can hand Real their asses in Bernabeu, they can at least have a shot against Tottenham

  22. On the one hand I hope Ajax and Porto draw each other so one of the 'finally something different teams' definitely makes it to the semis, on the other hand I hope they don't so theoretically they could both make it

  23. Yes, 18 is best for a maximum age but can be 16 or 17, but older people should be protected.

  24. That's a bit old for a maximum age I think, but these young kids should be protected. Some of them are barely even teenagers..

  27. Host Jury verdict is in. The ball passes to the World. March 13, 2019.- Another milestone in 2019 TAISC road has been reached, as the host jury confirmed their votes have been cast tonight and sent to neutral Totallympics members intoronto, LDOG and Sindo, for them to validate the results, if necessary. “This year’s vote was quite hard. Not only there were more than 38 entries that we could have all given points to, as each entry had its own identity and strengths”. jury member mrv86 told the press “In the end we could only pick 12 among them, which was no easy task, not counting that timeframe put us against the clock.” He then added: “I can assure that our final decision was a conscious one and was done in all fairness. Now all that rest for us is to invite the other members of the national juries to do the same in the next three weeks. All that rest for me to say is good luck to every single participant.” Here’s the format provided for juries to submit their votes via PM to Host Committee CEO mrv86: VOTES 12 points 11 points 10 points 9 points 8 points 7 points 6 points 5 points 4 points 3 points 2 points 1 point RESERVES 1st Reserve 2nd Reserve 3rd Reserve 4th Reserve As stated above, tomorrow marks the date in which national juries must vote during the next three weeks in order to confirm the participation of their respective entries at this year’s Grand Final. Those nations failing to submit their votes on Thursday April 4th will forfeit their participation and could not make the trip to Guadalajara, Mexico.

  28. Yeah, and then you're in the Olympic village, which in itself is just not a place for little kids. And at the Olympics. And every single bit of sports media wants your attention. They will have to have some North Korean-like supervision by their federations for their own protection, especially around the village.

  30. Last IBU Cup this weekend in Martell. A new event, the 60 person mass start. From the IBU website: Mass Start 60 The competition, just presented at the 2018 IBU Congress, is not just an exciting one, but can become a good option for lower level event series such as the IBU Cup and IBU Junior Cup that have big fields. The new format's test will be held on the final day, 17 March, for 60 athletes, where the top 10 of the IBU Cup Total Score will be qualified directly and the 50 remaining spots will be field in according to the results of the previous day's sprint competition . The cup scoring points go only to the IBU Cup Total Score. As in the traditional mass start, the men will cover the distance of 15 km (6x2.5km), while a course length for the women will be 12 km (6x2km). IBU Sports Director Felix Bitterling explained how the competition will be conducted. “60 athletes will start simultaneously; after the first loop, bibs 31-60 go into the range for their first shooting, while bibs 1-30 go out on the track for another loop without shooting. After this, the procedure is vice versa: bibs 31-60 will proceed to the course without shooting, while bibs 1-30 will have their first prone. After these two groups conducted their first shooting, the competition will be organized as in a pursuit.” I am on the fence with this one. I would love to see the live stream on this one, but I doubt it would be shown.
