  1. Of all the time i could have gone to the cinema, i picked the damn worst one You should have seen my face, when i saw the results after the movie. My friends thought something really "important" had happened (not biathlon fans). This is a moment that just made all the years of suffering, not much financing, small resources, worth the damn. Not only for Vlado Iliev, but for our whole team. And it happened, when the team was having the worst season in years. I think the motivation levels just got very high.

  3. Skateboarding really needs a minimum age or something...the Olympics with all it's pressure and the Olympic Village are no place for 10-12 year old kids.

  9. Thailand self-banned from top level weightlifting (they already said they won't show up in any major championship until and after Tokyo 2020...the news are on the Doping Bans thread on this same forum) after they were caught more than 3 times in the last few months, probably aiming at some kind of "mercy" in the upcoming sanctions... and imho, Russia are clearly scared of what could happen if they go to compete in the US "under treatment" (and probably they thought it's not worth to go there and look like a second/third-tier team)...

  10. I am now able to add new fonts in the list! I have already added some, I can add more if you find some fonts you really like (and which work from all devices, some fonts are not readable everywhere). Also, size 60 is now avaialble from the list. I have also added buttons to add/remove/merge rows/columns/cells in a much quicker way.

  12. That's a good idea- but how to implement it?. Say if you blocked @Monzanator (just an example!) but didn't block @OlympicsFan (again, just an example!) you would just see one of them arguing with himself about Nordic Combined.

  16. It's because of the Pan American Games, which themselves combine riders at Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix (since 2015). Wellington Nations Cup is traditionally a test event for the Pan Ams, while all other (European) NC stages only use Grand Prix. Grand Prix (also called "big tour") is the main dressage test, featured at the Olympics and other major events. Prix St. George ("small tour") is an easier test that doesn't have some of the tougher movements. Prix St. George is therefore used at the smaller regional games (Asian Games etc), and as a stepping stone for young horses on their way to the Grand Prix... Grand Prix riders will advance to Grand Prix Special, and then Grand Prix Freestyle. Prix St. George riders will advance to Intermediate I, and then Intermediate I Freestyle.

  17. Oh and it could improve engagement. Like you could show notifications on the phone's homescreen. "It's been *39* Days Since You Checked Out "2019 Asian Winter Children's Games". Why Don't You See What's Happening?"

  23. I like the mobile version of Totallympics, don't get me wrong (apart from choosing smileys which at least on my phone is a pain in the ass, since when I type for example :cheer, my phone automatically turns it into :cheecheer - same with every other smiley). It's just the adds that are covering content, buttons or that are simply present.

  24. I find the mobile version quite good. The only thing I'd add are push notifications. I see that very few users use the "follow" option, but maybe with push notifications it would be used more often.

  25. I only use it on mobile. I would prefer a chat room type format, but I like the current website format. I agree with @ahjfcshfghb that an app would be great, but also near impossible. I wouldn’t mind a group chat of sorts on the side though

  40. I wonder if it has anything to do with more strict doping testing system in USA. I'm sure you guys remember Ilya Ilyin didn't go to the World Championship in USA and two weeks later he broke the World Record in a GP event in Russia ! even though this is just a youth competition but having more positive tests will be costly for the countries with this Olympic qualification system. just for info. Iran didn't participate because of the US visa process. which is long and very costly (they had to send the whole team twice to another country since there is no US embassy in Iran) and at the end of the day it wasn't a sure thing if they could obtain the visa.
