  1. Said by the guy who just compared twice Herrmann (2nd leg) to Olsbu (1st leg)

  2. Here we go again: Day 1: Dahlmeier is ill Day 2: Dahlmeier drinks her magic potion Day 3: Dahlmeier is back and already dominating.

  3. Cant complain as a german fan. With Dahlmeier instead of Hinz this would have been a cakewalk gold for Germany, but since Germany never competes with their best team in the mixed relay (least important of all olympic biathlon events) this isnt really news. France by far the biggest loser today, for them it was over at the first exchange already. Very encouraging result from Herrmann who completely dominated Olsbu and Wierer, two of the best athletes of this season so far. IF Herrmann isnt too tired tomorrow and stays without an error, then i cant see anyone threatening her.

  5. Dixon & Goldstrom in all Sweden cheering mode and completely ignore Czech Republic. What a joke... as usual there's nothing East of Oder for these Englishmen...

  6. But many people don't know the rules and are too arrogant to go read them...so they say that the ball was clearly out. And since there was no camera which could provide a clear image of the ball being out, it was correct to confirm the first referee's decision.

  9. Okay, I guess there's no time like the present to announce the Lithuanian song for this competition. LITHUANIA Gebrasy - Acceptance Lyrics: And you might think That I'm a stone that has no feelings But I'm hiding them from you And isn't it obvious? The way I look into your eyes That I wanted my love for you, I do... Every time when I'm feeling vulnerable Step back, step back, don't come any closer It's hard to keep my hands off you I just wanted to say If we played poker you would lose on sight Cause you're one of a kind It's a relation where the ship won't sail Cause you won't be mine I know, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way And you don’t realise How valuable you are to me And that I wanted my love for you, I do… Every time when I’m feeling vulnerable Step back, step back, don’t come any closer It’s hard to keep my hands off you I just wanted to say If we played poker you would lose on sight Cause you’re one of a kind It’s a relation where the ship won’t sail Cause you won’t be mine I know, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way Cause you wouldn’t feel the same Okay, it’s not your fault that I’m not content with what you’re giving I visited your house, ignorance is the place you live in And we’re gonna keep it that way, oh ooh And we're gonna keep it that way

  10. It's a provisional start list though, changes are possible...(Brazil was on the provisional list for the SMR in Lenzerheide even though they had already left Lenzerheide for example)

  11. Fouaad Mirza should have a decent chance in eventing. I suspect that will be his focus this season, and with Australia, New Zealand, Japan already qualified, Group G individual spots are there for the taking. On the other hand, I doubt that Jitendarjit Singh Ahluwahlia will be making any new attempts. He is the 1980 Olympian who came out of nowhere and attempted to qualify in dressage for Rio.

  13. Yeah, lets just compare two girls who didnt go head to head, makes a lot of sense ... If you really think this comparison makes sense, then you either just started watching biathlon or you just dont have a clue for either reasons. You are probably someone who only looks at the times in a pursuit race and then says something like "X was the fastest today, if only she would have shown that performance in the sprint ...".

  17. It's rather stupid there is no camera right above and/or on the line for cases like that ball being outside or not. It was impossible to see for sure on any of the angles shown on TV whether or not the full size of the ball (and not just the 'footprint', so to speak) was entirely over the line or not.

  18. of course I mean the current VAR rules. I know we had to use video is football and I'm OK using it for "obvious" things like off sides etc. but I don't likes two things about VAR, first the delay and stopping the match for too long and second using it for 50-50 calls. as I said if you use a microscope you always can find a foul somewhere to call a penalty or something like that.

  19. it isn't when you really apply it correctly, and review the action from the beginning , i agree with you that Roma should have had a penalty in last action, also in Real Madrid's winner goal in first leg in Amsterdam there was a foul in the middle of the pitch for Ajax ...

  27. I can't understand how anyone can see VAR as a terrible idea...the current execution is not perfect, but surely taking out some fouls simply makes the game much more fair than missing all of those that VAR does take out? It should just be done faster, now often VAR is looking and after a few minutes, the referee goes to the monitor to check for himself Just do it like in hockey: team asks for a video review (limited number of opportunities to do so), VAR checks and tells the ref what the decision is, done.

  34. Ajax is humiliating Real and taking revenge for the rest of Europe in the last 3 seasons , bravo Ajax

  35. This was a bit predictable. Real Madrid has been looking clueless last few weeks and has a disaster winning rate when Ramos doesn't play. I say it in every page but Ajax has solid players in all lines and very developed gameplan.

  36. so Ramos suspended himself intentionally for this ?

  37. It was the right call. However the obstruction rules are such fucking bullshit, they should be scrapped entirely. Unless you are grabbing the keeper nothing should be called (I know this was an offside call, but it was offside because there was an obstruction). It's the same in other sports like rugby and field hockey, so many great tries/goals called back just because some dude was casually standing in front of an opponent player, so it's an "obstruction".

  40. Real Madrid will have a lot of problems against Ajax. Maybe they will improve from here to february but still it won't be easy. 80% chances is just not realistic for this Madrid. 70% for Roma vs Porto is also too much. Roma is slight favorite but they are not that good. I think you overrate teams according to their leagues. I agree about the other matches except I think Atletico is a bit favorite against Juventus. The italians don't play that well despite having Ronaldo and leading the league by 100 million points.

  41. Bayern vs. Liverpool i really wished that was the final match , not R16 , it's really hard to choose whom to cheer for between those 2 teams , but i think i'll choose Salah Liverpool is better ofc right now , but Bayern is always a danger for any team in UCL and much more experienced ofc , so it'd be a great battle between those 2 teams ofc, Klopp knows everything about Bayern , even the team hasn't changed much since he was training Dortmund , but Liverpool will have a serious problem in the 1st leg as van Dijk won't play , i consider him as Liverpool's defense so it'd be a very good advantage for Bayern, for Juventus and Atletico also a very big game awaits us , juventus since they got Ronaldo turned to be more confident about offending other teams , so i don't really expect them to park the bus , Atletico is always very dangerous at home , so another very tight battle , Dortmund vs. Tottenham is also a very worthy one to watch , 2 teams that're always playing for scoring , PSG should destroy Manchester UTD , otherwise they won't win UCL any day if they lose against this weak team , other 4 matches are much predictable , should be an easy qualification for Barca , Man City , Real could struggle a bit against Ajax , but they should win with no big problems , Rome also should have good time against Porto and win the match without problems , so let's make some predictions :- 1. Bayern 51 - 49 Liverpool 2. Juventus 55 - 45 Atletico 3. Dortmund 55 - 45 Tottenham 4. PSG 70 - 30 Man UTD 5. Barcelona 75- 25 Lyon 6. Real Madrid 70 - 30 Ajax 7. Rome 70 - 30 Porto 8. Man City 90 - 10 Shalke
