Final Standing available here OlympicsFan Dunadan Federer91 Congratulation, @OlympicsFan, with a strong last day, where a lot of points where on board, you secured a relative "safe" victory and a gold medal in the Bet Contest. @Dunadan with a very well-deserved silver medal. You and @OlympicsFan were only one point apart before the last bets were going to be decided today. @Federer91 secures a bronze medal to Bulgaria with a strong last day, where the winner time on the Men's 50 km decided if you, @chrischi08 or @hckosice, would take the bronze medal. So close for @chrischi08 and @hckosice, you were only 1 and 2 points away from winning the bronze medal, so close, but unfortunately, no medal this time. Though, still a very good performance in the Bet Contest overall. Lastly, thanks to all the participants, @OlympicsFan, @Dunadan, @Federer91, @chrischi08, @hckosice, @heywoodu, @EselTheDonkey, @ady48, @Speedy, @Vojthas, @africaboy, @Olympian1010 and @tuniscof .3 points

Group C1/C2 jumping team allocation has been made. Looks like every Group C nation is interested to compete except and . C1 (Moscow) - C2 (Budapest) - So it turns out that the Moscow qualifier will be the stacked one after all. Budapest qualifier will probably be Czech Republic vs Hungary, but watch out for Slovakia! Although it says that Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have "confirmed participation", I refuse to believe that.2 points

Forgot to celebrate over here! Another medal for Airinė Palšytė and she is the only Lithuanian athlete to ever win more than one in European indoor competitions. With Ireland, Serbia and Slovakia winning medals here, I really did not want to feel left out1 point

I'm saying that if you decide to deduce points for lost bets instead of giving 0 points nothing would change: the best strategy would be the same, the ranking would be same (a user who in this last contest scored N points with this new rule would score N-(200-N) points and someone would probably go in the negative but the ranking would be the same). I would keep the current points system but fix the number of 10,9,8,...2,1 points bets that each user has to place. For example if there are 50 questions each user would have to place five 1-point bets, five 2-points bets,...., five 9-points bets and five 10-points bets. If there are 60 questions each user would have to place six 1-point bets, six 2-points bets and so on.1 point

What a performance for Holund, and a more than respectable counterattack by Bolshunov Quite a lot of enjoyable races, at least I enjoyed the championships1 point -

[PREDICTION CONTESTS] Discussion Thread
Wumo reacted to OlympicsFan for a topic
Thanks! Expected win, i wonder when people will realize that my strategy is the best for this contest? On the one hand it's sad that so few people took part, on the other hand i think it shows how much more difficult this is than the other "normal" prediction contests we usually have. Thanks for organizing all this and hopefully next time i will get the chance to contribute some questions (this time i didn't know that the contest would take place before i saw the thread with the finished design).1 point -

Apparently, Holund was never even on podium in World Cup individual race. And of course, quick wikipedia trip makes that completely wrong. (Still) Nice. Bolshunov is a beast, I'm now a fan. Guy raced in every race available, got today on because of sickness of teammate, and got four silvers from it all.1 point -
Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2019
mrv86 reacted to OlympicIRL for a topic
IRELAND After much deliberation, Ireland is proud to present the band Kodaline as the Irish representative for the Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2019. "Shed A Tear" which featured on their latest album entitled "Politics of Living" is a song about empathy in the face of struggle and a message of reassurance that there is someone there for you and that you are not alone, even in your darkest hour. I hope you enjoy. Kodaline - Shed A Tear Lyrics: It's harder to see through the eyes of a stranger It's easier to love when the world doesn't hate you When you try to sing out but nobody hears a word It's safer to swim when the tide's not against you You've been here before I know you've been here before Never letting go And giving up is letting go Never fight alone But you don't have to fight alone I shed a tear for you Open your eyes, I'm by your side I'm never leaving you Darkness to light, stay through the night I'm walking in your shoes So you know that it's the truth When nobody's here for you Let me make it clear That I shed a, I shed a tear (Shed a tear, shed a tear, shed a tear Shed a tear, shed a tear) And I feel your pain when I know you're in trouble And I'll take the blame from your hurt in your struggle And when you're trying to speak out, but nobody hears a word I'll be your voice, lay your head on my shoulder Oh (you've been here before) I know you've been here before Never letting go And nothing is impossible Never fight alone You don't have to fight alone I shed a tear for you Open your eyes, I'm by your side I'm never leavin' you Darkness to light, stay through the night I'm walking in your shoes So you know that it's the truth When nobody's here for you Let me make it clear That I'll shed a, I'll shed a tear (Shed a tear, shed a tear, shed a tear) And when you're livin' in your darkest hour And when you're gettin' closer to the edge I shed a tear for you Open your eyes, I'm by your side I'm never leavin' you Darkness to light, stay through the night I'm walkin' in your shoes So you know that it's the truth When nobody's here for you Let me make it clear I'll shed a, I'll shed a tear (Shed a tear, shed a tear, shed a tear) I'll shed a, I'll shed a tear1 point -

An absolute mass hysteria and madness started in Slovakia after Petra Vlhová announced that her desire to compete this weekend in Jasna during the European Cup GS and Slalom races has been fullfiled and she will start in both races. Thousands and thousands of peoples "attacked" the organizing committee with requests to buy or rerserve tickets...the OC had to answer everyone patiently that this is a freaking European Cup and the entry is free One thing is sure, the attendance will be crazy this weekend and the absolute attendance record for the lower Alpine Skiing circuit will be just destroyed in Jasná this weekend. This girl has just surpassed Peter Sagan and all ice hockey stars in popularity in the country by huge difference1 point
