  3. There's a popular meme in Spain that is a old guy taking part in Dancing with the stars dressed urban triying to do a breakdance routine. It's used as a way to refer to older people trying to act cool like teens. I think it's just perfectly fitting for the IOC...........

  6. And seeing medals being won by the likes of 'B4', 'Ram' or 'Bumblebee' gives me spontaneous itches. (Which by the way doesn't mean I hated watched it, I just really don't think it's fitting for the Olympics)

  10. In the city events with only 16 skiers there have always been 2 runs in all stages of the event. It's only the events like in Alta Badia, Courchevel or St. Moritz where that wasn't the case (for god knows what reason)

  15. Absent, however, didn't need those extra points at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Pretty sure that's the only ever Olympic champion from Turkmenistan.

  16. Not true according to FIS live timing ... There it says that Jessica Anderson from GB won with a margin of 40,74 seconds ahead of Robinson, the only thing suspicious here is that apparently she only needed 14,75 seconds to finish the second run ...

  20. Not to mention how that event doesn't have code of points or anything, at YOG it was just a bunch of funny named judges voting for what's "cool" (whatever that means). So of course it was biased towards the hosts and the other desirables...

  21. It's sort of an equivalent of stuff like big air in the winter, where it's more about 'having fun' in their hipster baggy pants - or at least that's how they make it look - than about actually competing. Noooo thanks.

  23. Replace breakdancing by squash and I’m very happy. Not surprised to see climbing, surfing and skateboarding are favourites to survive, I think all three are extremely likely to be included in LA too.

  24. https://www.francetvinfo.fr/sports/jo/jo-2024/info-franceinfo-le-breakdance-pressenti-pour-integrer-le-programme-des-jeux-olympiques-2024-a-paris_3184479.html#xtor=CS2-765-[twitter]- That's the original source. The orginal article is very lacking in details. They've never reported on the subject before that. Paris 2024 was/is still interviewing IFs for inclusion. They get the date of the reveal wrong (21/02). I would still wait for a few days/weeks before starting a new career in mass murdering if I was you.

  28. The cooperation between Tang Yuanting and Yu Yang was very good at the beginning, but in the Olympics, Tang still had some unnecessary mistakes, and Yu Yang’s temper was a little impatient. Tang failed to withstand tremendous pressure, and some self-destructed.

  29. Tang Yuanting played well in the 2017 National Games, but her mental ability was relatively weak, so she did not stay in the national team.

  30. One thing needs to be corrected. The Chinese badminton team does not have a head coach. Zhang Jun is only head coach for doubles . Xia Xuanze is head coach for singles .

  31. Not only that, Zhang Jun also became the chairman of the China Badminton Association.

  32. No, Bao Yixin is in the Hunan Provincial Team. Tang Yuanting's academic performance is also very good, she played badminton just out of hobbies. When she failed in the Olympic gold medal, she just chose another way of life.

  33. Yes you are right about it. Zhang Jun is newly appointed as the new head coach as well replacing Li Yongbo.

  38. The link to this article is:http://www.aiyuke.com/news/2019/02/n108f9d86a34.html The content of the article is roughly the same: two weeks ago, the Danish Badminton Association finally signed a collective agreement with the players, and Axelsen, Antonsson, Anders/Sorrensen returned to the Danish national team. Happy, but the female single player Mia was isolated by her teammates. Because when everyone collectively boycotted the Danish Badminton Association, only Mia chose to compromise and signed a personal agreement with the Danish Badminton Association in advance. Although everyone is returning to the national team today, Mia feels that everyone is looking at her with "colored glasses." Recently, the Danish badminton team is participating in the European Badminton Mixed Team Championship. Mia believes that the mood of the team is a bit different from the previous ones. Some teammates are not waiting to see Mia. Mia said that she didn't want to spend energy to think about these bad things. She would normally say hello to her teammates as before, but it would be their business.
