Summer Olympic Games 2020 Unqualified Nations
hckošice and 7 others reacted to JoshMartini007 for a topic
For anyone interested, I've added a Qualification Watch page to my blog. Basically it lists all unqualified nations and which events they may qualify in. These are based on performances over the last two years. Please note that these are chances and not guarantees. Boxing will be added once the qualification process is confirmed. I have also yet to add invitation quotas (outside of athletics/swimming) as it is a bit too early to figure those out. If anyone has any suggestions as to possible events a nation may qualify in, let me know.8 points -

I've followed NASCAR more or less since 1993 so you won't convince me on that Bringing up WEC in the era where even Toyota's mechanics could win LeMans as drivers is not the best example.1 point -

Excuse my total ignorance. I saw some races, and swimmers spend 70% of the distance underwater doing dolphin kick, rather than actually swimming the appropriate style. I think it makes no sense at all.1 point -

Summer Olympic Games 2020 Unqualified Nations

Luxembourg and Saudi Arabia should have a chance in team dressage and team jumping, respectively. Additionally, Hong Kong stands a decent chance in both team and individual jumping since Australia and Japan are already qualified. Philippines and Sri Lanka should have a chance in individual jumping, just like Syria and Morocco from the other group.1 point -
it looks that Gisin has "only" a fracture in the pelvis (and of course all the troubles related to the fact that he lost consciousness for quite a while on the track before being transported to the Bozen Hospital by helicopter)... however, his condition is defined as "stable" and is future life is not under threat (the consequences to his sports career remain to be evaluated later in the next weeks/months)...1 point
