a short resumèe... In 2014, she was arrested and charged with two misdemeanour accounts of assault, against her nephew and half-sister. The charges were eventually dropped just last month following a lengthy legal battle. Then in 2016, US Soccer suspended Solo for 6 months, as well as terminating her national team contract after she referred to the Swedish Women’s team as “a bunch of cowards” following America’s elimination from the quarter-finals of the Rio Olympics. It was thought, however, that the decision to terminate her contract stemmed from a build up of issues. The World Cup winner had also previously been suspended in 2015 after she was the passenger in a US Soccer-owned vehicle which was being driven by her husband – NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens – when he was pulled over under suspicion of driving under the influence. Solo also made an unsuccessful bid for the US Soccer Presidency last February and was not shy in letting people know how she felt about previous federation vice-president Carlos Cordeiro, in a pre-election speech. plus... https://www.politico.com/story/2018/07/02/hope-solo-soccer-in-america-is-just-a-mess-right-now-689652 https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/sep/22/hope-solo-settles-grievance-with-us-soccer1 point

Germany is shit without Dahlmeier, no talents. Preuß never even realized 50 % of her potential. Fialkova's performances so far are very worrying. Quite interesting that out of all countries SLOVAKIA is producing two athletes who are that fast in cross-country. We know the reason for Kuzmina's superhuman performances, i think it is very likely that Fialkova is using the same methods as Kuzmina.1 point -

Mexico is selected as 2019 Annual TISC host After their bid was selected yesterday as the new host 2019 Totallympics International Song Contest, Mexico is making early plans to host the prestigious music competition. Being the first country to receive the annual edition five years ago, also as a replacement of original hosts, this time around the organizing committee is better prepared to take on the task. “We have the strong duty to make 2019 TAISC edition one to remember”, explained bid CEO mrv86 “After all, two other deserving countries showed potential of being excellent hosts, so there’s a reason to do things not only right, but as spectacular as we can.” “Five years ago, we could only imagine the enormous impact this contest would have; one edition after the other, we have seen dedication of so many people in organizing a beautiful show and welcoming the World to their respective culture. In many ways, this supports our bid motto: music does not have borders of any kind.” “I personally would like to thank all the demonstrations of support received so far. It will be a pleasure to welcome you to the city of Guadalajara, and share with you our music, heritage and traditions, as I’m sure each of you will do with your song selections. Without much further to add, except the promise to deliver a show worthy of each one of you, I’d like to present once more: México” Mexico... the country you thought you knew Excerpt from Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Marquez Guadalajara, host city of 2019 Totallympics Song Contest1 point

Women's Handball CAHB African Championship 2018

On paper Angola is the favourite, but it only takes one bad match to get eliminated. Usually Tunisia has a good chance for the upset, but they haven't looked too great. Senegal has had a great tournament so far. Due to how the scheduling of the qualification system the winner here will be the first African nation to qualify to the Olympics1 point -

yes... Bronze Medal matches start @ 2 a.m. CET, Gold Medal matches start @ 8 a.m. CET unfortunately, there's no official/legal world streaming nor TV coverage...the only chance could be Chinese TV/online portals, which are basically impossible to follow from Europe (at least, from Italy)...1 point

The most random fact I can come up with. In Kylie Minogue's music video for "Your Disco Needs You", one of the tube lights (between "I" and "S" in "DISCO"; 6th from the left) has a malfunction as soon as they are coming down (0:15). It just flashes in static orange until 0:25 while all others are changing colours. Same from 0:32 to 0:51 but it gets fixed later on.1 point

I think that people are forgetting that TISC is a competition about fun and bringing people together. So far, I've witnessed Serbia being bullied out of the bidding process. And lastly, when Mexico agrees to bid with Croatia's and Algeria's chances enhanced, they are STILL being villainised after they've won After the way this process was conducted, I'd love to congratulate @mrv86 on the victory and hosting of TISC, good luck and I'll be waiting for an exciting show1 point

No, I'm bringing my pitchfork and it's on fire. Much as I would personally like to see new hosts, everyone who entered accepted this format of picking a host and I don't think it's fair to, once the result was different than hoped for, go all pitchforky on it. *storing pitchfork1 point
