Ah, finally the home page I was looking for...

I will murder the fucking director, I swear. And I will film it from an awkward angle with little to no lighting.

Honestly he should work as a commentator on Olympic Channel. Anyone who knows a difference between Burundi and Burkina Faso is already good enough to replace the current ones...

Sessouma swims 50m breaststroke in 57.76. As far as commentators are concerned, she is from Burundi, obviously.

Nothing about Bolsonaro is funny. Nothing. 5 years ago he was considered a (bad) joke, ranting nonstop about a non-existing communist threat, and now he's very close to becoming the president for the next four years. He's publicly stated he believes (pretty) women should be raped, women should earn less than men, black people and native Brazilians are lazy and should be killed, gay people should die... Basically, he should be jailed for even opening his mouth, but somehow he's running for president and many, many people are ignorant enough to vote for him. In fact, I fear for my life if he ever gets elected. Now, about the other politicians... Temer is as dirty as one can be. He's currently the illegitimate president after a coup d'état, and that says a lot. In short, the coup happened so he could sell for cheap (I'd say give) our oil to the Americans. Of course there's more to it, but it's too long (and boring) to explain. I'm a professor in a federal institution (basically, federal schools and colleges are usually the best in the country) and we've suffered huge losses of maintenance money, so we're screwed for the next years thanks to this coup. Haddad is not a bad politician, but he is from a party I sincerely hope will not elect a president in the next 30 years, since we've seen numerous scandals of corruption regarding this party. Haddad has good ideas, but he should never have run for president in the first place.

I hope no Italian here is watching Swimming because according to the commentators, Thomas "catch-on" (Ceccon) was underway.

Inline skating Too bad it's some combined event so no single event really feels important, but ok. It's moving, and the ocean/sea as backdrop is fantastic

I do hope though that, if it's Bolsonaro vs Haddad in the 2nd round, most people will (albeit reluctantly) vote for Haddad...from what I've heard so far there is literally no real good candidate, but everyone who is not Bolsonaro falls under the 'lesser of X evils' category..

Well I guess we know how they’ll extinguish the flame at the closing then. However it will be controversial because both a man and woman will have to urinate on the flame

Extremely disheartening to see this here. This man is the worst thing that could ever happen to Brazil - if you guys think Trump is unreasonable sometimes, you should see this person talk for 5 minutes. I fear for my friends in case he's elected (which is very much the most likely scenario right now). Also, it's a little ironic that you're (apparently) supporting an extremist when you have said plenty of times that extremism is bad in any form. I guess that only works for the far-left then?

Khabib, you goddamn moron. Getting the by far biggest win of his career and one of the biggest wins for anyone in UFC ever, and then just throwing everything away because he can't keep his shit cool...and even worse, that insanely cowardly teammate of him, whoever it was (I heard some Russian name, but don't know the guy), hitting McGregor from the back. Thank you Khabib for making an awesome fight and awesome win worthless just because you lost your cool.
