France after extra time But earlier in the match Belgium was leading 6-3. After 90 minutes it was 6-6 and then there was only one goal during ET that made France win

I hope not, I still find it amazing how a country like Bhutan has most of their semi-decent athletes in a sport that is actually quite challenging (whereas simply running is something every healthy human can do)

Last night I had a dream about the France-Belgium match, can you tell I'm anxious?

Not only we had problems with the rain yesterday (3 to 4 hour delay), but also 3 matches ended 3-2, which of course was terrible for the organization. The last match of the day (Peru vs Dominican Republic) started way past midnight, and ended past 2AM local time. Two kinda surprising results: Mexico 3-0 win over Argentina, and Cuba 3-2 win over USA - I know the americans are here with a B team, but it's been more than 10 years that Cuba won against them!

And after 56 meters we have a lead group of 4: two French riders and two Belgian ones , that's gonna give some fun banter between them in the next 180km

I'm none of them but still anxious, I can only imagine your feeling I really hope I can convince my dad (with who I'll be watching as usually) to watch the match on Belgian TV. He doesn't like it that much because their accent is sometimes a bit hard to understand (not for me since I watch cycling half the year on Belgian TV), but it's much nicer to watch on the channel where it actually really matters who wins (although Dutch TV is drooling their brains out on Belgium as well, ever since Morocco is out)

Hopefully Bhutan is finally ready to send someone to the Olympics who isn't looking for the bullseye.

Mexican Olympic Committee confirmed that 14 events managed to get enough participants to be on the program again. Athletics (4): Men's Marathon, Men's 50km Race Walk, Women's 10,000m, Women's 3,000m Steeplechase Modern Pentathlon (2): Women's Relay & Mixed Relay Rowing (1): Women's Pair Taekwondo - Poomsae (1): Mixed Pairs Weightlifting (6): Men's 77kg Snatch, Men's 77kg Clean & Jerk, Women's 90kg Snatch, Women's 90 Clean & Jerk, Women's +90kg Snatch & Women's +90kg Clean & Jerk. I'm especially glad about Rowing, Pentathlon and Weightlifting; I couldn't care less about Poomsae, but what I will really miss is women's 20km,as our best athlete will miss the Games.

It's July 2018, two years to the Olympics and still we don't know all the events. Farcical

@prso1000 @hckosice I see that it's a common tendency in this years U20 to have a small team. They changed up the rules and the qualification period did not start January 1st 2017 as usual, but actually started after the Summer season, from October 1st 2017. This left three of our athletes that had a qualifying mark result last summer back at home, because they couldn't repeat the performance. Our decathletes, one had 1 competition to start in, whilst the other had 2 and same thing for our heptathletes. Other, slightly luckier disciplines had all in all 4-5 chances to start, some were luckier (those U20 that are better than the seniors). Lastly, our national U20 championship was held on the day for entry finalisation, so no results counted from there. This qualification period was a total mess, we were totally capable of sending at least 5 additional people if this summer season didn't end just when it started.

I am hoping wins its first ever World Juniors Medal. They have a top 5 400m runner, their 4x400 relay team is quite good and could challenge for a medal and their 3000m steeplechase runner has the world lead time in the 2000m version of the event.
