  4. Everybody should enter with their own cover song as long as it is from a Dutch singer. We could have a Dutch appreciation month. I'm taking The Common Linnets.

  5. Leonard Cohen, the original writer of Hallelujah, is Canadian. K.D.Lang is also a Canadian performer. That means that everything is pretty Canadian. And that's the reason why this is eligible as a Canadian entry.

  10. Yes, Galway is amazing I didn't want to talk about it because when my friends came to see me they were disappointed (but they loved Dublin XD) One great thing to do in Connemara is the Sky Road, you have amazing views of the sea (but it's a little damaged road so it's not really made for buses) And also, a must see, the Cliffs of Moher!

I stayed mostly in Vienna, because I was participating in a moot arbitration competition. It's a nice city, but not a must. Madrid was very interesting and it has some nice museums, if that's among your or your girlfriend's interest. I also went to Florence, which again, if you're into renaissance art and architecture, then you have to visit. Finally, Venice has its charm and it's a city you can see in a couple of days.

@konig I'm not European, and it has been some time since I "crossed the pond". I agree with Agger about Prague and Budapest; they're beautiful cities at affordable prices. Also, in my opinion, Rome and Paris are must see cities(even if you don't go this time around) they are a little crowded, but plenty of things to see and do.

  20. @konig Good luck for the plans, sounds really great Since you mentioned Ireland I would highly recommend going out to the west as the scenery is beautiful and with many lovely small towns full of charm. Galway is a beautiful city also and very good from a tourist perspective (maybe @Bohemia is better than me to confirm that as she lived there for a while recently so she can tell you her experience as a traveller to Ireland). The Ring of Kerry and Connemara are two standout options. Expense is a factor for a visit to Ireland though as it is a quite expensive country. I agree too with Bohemia about Dublin and advised her about that when she visited Ireland the first time, there are much nicer and charming places to visit than there but having said that there are many touristic options in Dublin too.... Guinness Storehouse, Botanical Gardens, National History Museum, various museums in fact and the beautiful Trinity College Library which houses the Book of Kells. https://goo.gl/images/AJYXEh If you wanted to go to Northern Ireland, the Causeway Coast is a great option with the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Distillery and Dunluce Castle which I visited when going to the Giro d'Italia a couple of years ago. All very close to Belfast too which has some touristic options such as the Titanic museum. I can't upload any pics now but you can Google anything if you wish and I'm sure you'll have a thousand times better idea than from me if you'll like something or not. Plus I don't like to say everything is great and then you come here and you're like, meh . Expense is a factor to consider and also rain, lots of it

Also, when you mentioned beer keep in mind that you will hardly find cheaper beer of a very good quality than in Slovakia, I´ll not say that our beers are excellent like in the Czech Rep. or Germany but still very good and reputed. Beer is often cheaper than non-alcoholic drinks such as bottled mineral water or soda. The average price for a beer (if you order for a beer you´ll receive a 0.5 l ) in Bratislava, which is the ofc highest priced in Slovakia but still considerably cheap around 0.90 EURO, in other cities you can find bars or pubs offering local beers for even cheaper.

Sounds lovely. In Denmark I would say Aarhus or Copenhagen are the obvious cities. Copenhagen due to a lot of historical places, beautiful palaces, the little mermaid, two of the world's oldest ammusement parks (one being the oldest) and several fine museums. Aarhus isn't a city that you can spend a lot of time in, but it's defenitely worth visiting for a couple of days. We have a great arts museum with lovely views from the rooftop rainbow panorama, the lovely old town, where you can see houses from different eras and Moesgaard Museum that is a highly interesting cultural history- and archeology museum. Also there are lots of historical areas and buildings as well as some lovely spots of nature including the bothanical garden and the park that is a part of what's often called one of the world's 10 most beautiful universities. Also Aarhus is most likely where you could find me Other places could be Roskilde or Ribe. Both are smaller, but very historical. In Sweden I would always say Stockholm. Though it's an expensive city, it's really beautiful and full of interesting places to go. If you want some good ideas for less expensive cities (both Denmark and Sweden are decently expensive countries) I would say that Cracow and Warsaw (), Prague () and Budapest () are all very interesting. Berlin is a bit more expensive, but still very payable and also highly recommendable. If you want to go to southern Europe, my main recommendation would be Florence.

one thing is very bad/horrible in europe , the taxi is very very expensive 30-40 euro for few km inside the city , what thiefs here with less of 0,5 euro the taxi will take you where you want

  26. Well, the problem with these continental championships (except European div I) is that there isn't video referral, so there'll always be dodgy decisions in goals and/or PCs since hockey is very difficult sport for referees with the tiny ball and the speed of play. I'm sad Egypt couldn't qualify, it's always good to see new faces in big tournaments and also because South Africa will just be a punching bag at the WC with this current level.
