Just watched the replays including all semifinal heats this morning. What an emotional rollercoaster!

 

More than pleased with a gold and bronze! A bit disappointed for Laura Smulders, I was rooting for her most of all. Luckily her sister overperformed. Never expected that bronze!

So it was in fact very much a life threatening crash...

 

They really need to take some teeth out of those BMX courses or someone will eventually die at the Olympics.

It was close. I’m okay with the podium.

 

Obviously, I would have liked to see  win a medal too. He put down a great run. He should be proud of that performance.
