thiago_simoes 1,359 Posted December 11, 2021 Author #51 Share Posted December 11, 2021 One of the apparatus broke and could not be replaced, so the Brazilian coaches had to hold on to the apparatus so the Brazilian gymnast could finish his routine. IoNuTzZ 289 Posted December 16, 2021 #52 Share Posted December 16, 2021 Larisa Iordache after a new operation has retired from gymnastics. She made this decision a couple of weeks ago and will transition to working as an assistant coach alongside her former coaches. She was a fighter and maybe she never won an olympic title but definetly she was one of the best gymnast in the world. I really hope she will come back for Paris 2024 and she will fight for olympic gold. Gianlu33, thiago_simoes and Dennis
phelps 6,793 Posted December 30, 2021 #53 Share Posted December 30, 2021 Giorgia Villa has structural bone damage in her back and therefore in the future she's going to focus only on Balance Beam and Uneven Bars, meanwhile she's going to stop working on new excercises on the Floor and Vault, which means that she won't be a threat in the All Around competitions anymore... here's an article about that (unfortunately it's in Italian only)... https://www.oasport.it/2021/12/giorgia-villa-ho-un-problema-osseo-alla-schiena-mi-dedico-a-parallele-e-trave-posso-fare-ginnastica-ad-alto-livello/?refresh_ce Ted and thiago_simoes
