I have started updating the all-time medal tables.

In the all-time Grand Final medal table, Canada gained a couple of places, while Serbia climbed to joint 7th. Malta became the 21st nation to obtain a podium finish. Interestingly, Lithuania is still the only nation with exactly one gold medal and nothing else.

Yeah, I was browsing the TISC history thread and thought about it. It's clear that Lithuania was only gunning for the winning positions once in these 15 contests.

There's a 7th place, three times 8th place and a 10th place for the top finishes of Lithuania. We've never broken a top 5 since our winning entry. Would love to make this achievement before the 20th TISC :p

Surprised to see Germany in this contest. Personally i don't like the song choice (the singer isn't even german) and i never understood why nations enter the competition with songs that aren't in their native language. Also sad to see that South Africa wasn't entered. Maybe if there is another contest like this i will enter for South Africa.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Okay, so I wrote down the US votes of contests past (2013 and since 2016 annual) and I might do an Excel sheet of who got the most points from the jury over the years.

BUT... I still don't have the votes from 2014 (annual and open) and 2015 (annual and open), so I guess archive.org will be my best friend for a while, but anyway, I can tell you the top 5 earners from the US jury since the 2016 annual are Bulgaria, Ireland, Greece, Mexico, and India.

Good effort from @heywoodu

somewhat disappointed that you ignored the modest olympic flame

I was planning to have that in the opening ceremony, but completely forgot it in the last week full with preparations :yikes:

My apologies!

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
