New coach for the :NED women's team:

https://www.volleybalkrant.nl/nieuws/breaking--nieuwe-bondscoach-volleybaldames-bekend/

Felix Koslowksi, young German coach of SSC Palmsberg Schwerin. Looks like a good candidate from what I can see so far. Qualifying for Paris will be a very rough mission with the current group of players though.

There was a "historical" result in the volleyball world this weekend. :d Of course it's on a much lower level, but for anyone, who loves statistics would probably be interesting.

In the top Bulgarian women's division, Maritza Plovdiv lost a match after 7 years and a 145 game winning streak. Out of those 145, 123 were won with 3:0, 19 with 3:1 and only 3 matches ended with a 3:2 win. This speaks enough about the strength of our women's league :d

Sir Safety Perugia which won all 22 games in the Italian Super League regular season (losing only 11 sets) crashes out in QF vs Allianz Milano 2-3 in best of five :yikes: This means for the first time since 2017 the league final won't be played between Perugia and Cucine Lube Civitanova. Last time neither of these teams were in the final was 2015.

Our national volleyball federation and its president have been suspended for 6 months after allowing volleyball player Wallace, who was suspended for offensive "jokes" against the president of Brazil, to play in the final of the Superliga, our national championship.

Among the consequences are the possible cut of sponsorship by Banco do Brasil, which could prevent Brazil from participating in competitions in 2023. :d

    • I still don't know how we lost the match against Poland Can't wait to see the semifinals These matches seems very balanced
    • POL rather won’t qualify for a World Cup.   And we surely won’t qualify in a first stage.    So j just want to see interesting matches and my dream group would be:
    • With the IWF cracking down on doping, North Korea was already the second best nation before Covid. The three-year isolation does make things suspicious.   Considering the IWF is now testing them every time they compete (given their results), they are probably clean now. The IWF is on such a short leash that a scandal like this may kill the federation so I imagine they are keeping a watchful eye on them.
    • and  are the men's handball qualifiers from North America. Guess who finished fourth?
    • I was wondering who gave  team that push? ..it was you at the end  ... Karlos is the man (hopefully) to break this domination.   but if we did a poll here: Do you think  weightlifters are clean from doping or not ? ..what would be your thoughts ...I don't want to criticise any athletes or countries but the records are very suspicious
