kungshamra71 685 Posted January 10, 2023 #16 Share Posted January 10, 2023 Roberto Martinez was officially announced as the next national manager of Portugal. Its the third time a foreigner becomes head coach of Portugal, but the other two were Brazilians, this time is a Spanish, which is not as easy to accept to Portuguese (“De Espanha, nem bom vento nem bom casamento” it’s a Portuguese saying that means “From Spain, neither comes good wind or a good marriage”, due to the historically multiple tentatives for annexing Portugal) Some say it might be also a move for the World Cup organization (Portugal + Spain are one of the candidates). Anyway, bienvenido Martinez!

Federer91 2,114 Posted January 14, 2023 #20 Share Posted January 14, 2023 When they say an "early start to your sporting career", they probably didn't mean this exactly, but today i found an interesting story. In December, in the top Bulgarian women's football division, a club made a substitute and entered a 10 year old girl. She had been training mostly with boys, a few years older than her, and had played in women's U15 and U17 matches throughout the year. And the main teams coach has said, that she wanted to award the girl for her dedication and progress with a few minutes play against the women.
