I really ever listen something about what you say in the final of 1978, the players had that behaviour in that match?, im one of the very few fans of River who is anti-Ortega.

The players kind of but especially the people and authorities around (before) the match made it into a match that was basically done before the start. It's a miracle Argentina somehow didn't manage to make it an easy 5-0.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

It seems like Argentinians were also mocking Riquelme goal celebrations as van Gaal kicked him out of Barcelona all those years ago?

Messi use Riquelmes goal celebration against Van Gaal like he did originally.

The following statistic is summing up how crazy football can be:

https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/zgutfy/just_before_the_quarter_finals_big_chances

Morocco only created 3 big chances in their first 4 matches (but went on to make the semifinal), Belgium on the other hand created 8 big chances in only 3 matches (and got eliminated during group stage). This tournament shows that defense wins tournaments. Teams like Germany or Belgium had tons of chances, but noone who was able to convert them. On the other hand teams like Croatia or Morocco barely had any chances, but those teams were great at converting them and also played great defense.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Lol at Pepe crying over Tello, who had a great game.

I'm surprised he sounds nothing like someone from Portugal. I thought he would have at least a hint of Portuguese accent, but nope. Brazilian Portuguese through and through.

Milan, province of Casablanca, act II

fireworks like it's New Year's Night :yikes:

Casablanca is in Milan, so I guess Marrakech and Tanger are the provinces we have here? :p

As long as it stays with 'happy fireworks' and cheering and such, all fine :d
