I have a feeling both Holland and Argentina would rather play Croatia than Brazil in SF

Sure, because Brazil has a way higher 'peak' than Croatia. As in, if Brazil really gets going, they can utterly destroy everyone, just like France. Croatia doesn't have that 'peak', but a team doesn't need to have that to be a big danger.

And come on, boring, not boring, whatever. If you reach the World Cup final, and the next time you're in the semi's after kicking Brazil out, you are very well capable of kicking Argentina and the Netherlands out as well, no question about it.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

How so? Brazil was never a dominant side in the game.

I feel like they were generally not impressive beyond the first halves (matches against Cameroon and South Korea come to mind). :dunno:

Notwithstanding Livaković just being... Livaković.

The gap between World Cups is too big to take any evidence from what happened four years earlier. If you did a poll among players I bet >80% would pick Croatia over Brazil. Because of the fixed draw there will always be speculation who is the better opponent looking ahead.
