phelps 6,536 Posted November 19, 2022 #11 Share Posted November 19, 2022 disappointing 5th place for Ghiotto earlier Today in the men's 5000m, after last week he was second and close to Roest, who won the race in a track record setting time. yesterday, instead, good 3rd place for Giovannini in the men's Mass Start race and second 4th place in a row for Peveri in the women's version of the same race. without Lollipop, it's a difficult season for our speedskating, but somehow we're still alive. That was really something to behold though, what an incredible race, one of the best 5k's I've ever seen anyone throw down. And that came after young Norwegian Sander Eitrem threw down the gauntlet with a mightily impressive performance. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Yeah, it was a nice race, even if the last 1-2 pairs were fairly anticlimactic. #banbestmen

Yeah one often shouldn't pay too much attention to the order of the races in speed skating, especially early in the season Today in the 1500m for example most eyes are probably not on any other pair except for the one with super mega alien talent Jordan Stolz If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Have I missed any controversy in the Orange house? @Dennis @heywoodu No, not really. Nuis missed the World Cup qualification tournament 3 weeks ago, because he got a groin injury a couple days before. So Nuis couldn't compete and therefore didn't qualify for these World Cups. However, the national skating federation decided to give him a chance this week over a skater who qualified. Some analysts and journalists were questioning publicly if Nuis would have the level to compete against the best here, only a couple of weeks after his injury. Guess this was a sign to them to shut up. Gianlu33

I guess he had been out of the spotlights for a bit and was looking for a way to get back in If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
