The French's shooting is catastrophic this year  (not on the women's side though)

In addition, a catastrophic ski form at Fillon Maillet. Claude was by far the best this weekend.
In the women's race, of course, a tremendous team performance, even if Colombo didn't look good at all, hopefully she is ok. Chevalier-Bouchet in particular has not yet delivered anything this season. Unfortunately, she had a broken stick on the first lap and was directly at the end of the field.

All - WOW!  I was able to be at the Pursuits yesterday.  The only way to relate the atmosphere in Le Grand Bornand is a football/soccer match.  I was on the course, and when Julia Simon and Eric Perrot shot yesterday, it was like a rocket taking off it was so loud.  Lots of fun to watch, even those near the end.  I am not sure if you could tell, or if it even made it on the broadcast, but the last downhill, followed by the sharp left hand turn into the steep uphill right before the range was really icy.  Lots of concentrated faces at that spot.  I was there for the women.  The men I was where the long climb makes the turn around.  That is a really long climb, and for the Mass start even longer.

Has anyone actually noticed this? Siegfried Mazet said that from this year on 5 athletes per nation (6 with the defending champion) will be allowed to start at World Championships if they are all in the top 15 in the overall World Cup. I haven't read that yet.
This is also a reason why Tarjej Bö may continue to compete in the World Cup and not Endre Stroemsheim.
