That 100 free world record might not survive the final tomorrow. From Rome 2009 to Rome 2022. :d

looking at his recent (and less recent) outings, I think tomorrow he won't swim as fast as today (surely he's going to win with big margin, however)...

the key is make him swim the first 50m too fast...the problem is that neither Miressi nor Grousset are that kind of swimmers...among the medal contenders, the only one who could try a kamikaze start is Milak, but he might choose not to do it in order not to put at risk a possible medal against the Italian and the French guys...

Steenbergen must be leading the medal table at the moment! Another gold!

Edit: I got excited and forgot Italy exists. They probably have more than 3 gold. Still proud of Steenbergen!

I was worried for a moment after Korstanje and Kamminga had disappointing individual finals.

we're at 5 right now...

waiting for a couple more tomorrow...:p

A Bizarre time trial swim off for :wFRA: NDOYE as the timing boards didn't work, has made him now qualify for the Final in the 200m Back

it wasn't the timing board, it was the starting device that got broken and made him slip badly...

What a brilliant start to the championships for Lithuania

Andrius Šidlauskas had a very strong early career, but then faded a bit during the last 4 years. Very glad to see him with his first medal in senior competition and hopefully this motivates him to new heights.

Very happy to see that Meilutytė and Teterevkova look on form as well, so the final question mark is how will Rapšys look in these championships.

Wow, what a swim from Popovici! Hopefully there's a Popovici vs. Dressel vs. Chalmers showdown sometime in the future. That'll be incredible to watch.

You'd have to think it will happen in Fukuoka next year along with the Titmus vs Ledecky vs McIntosh showdown in the 400.
