Today's results of the Junior World Championships in :GER Inzell:

The 1.000m had clear winners: :NED 15 year old Angel Daleman taking her second title by winning the girls' 1.000m (1:16,29) in front of :KAZ Alina Dauranova (+1.47) and :USA Greta Myers (+1.53), while :USA Jordan Stolz went 3/3 with his third gold medal of the Championships in 1:08.28 in front of :NED Tim Prins (+1.57) and :JPN Issa Gunji (+2.02).

The longest distance on the girls' side (3.000m) was comfortably won by :JPN Momoka Horikawa (4:04.72) in front of :NED Jade Groenewoud (+6.97) and :NED Angel Daleman (+7.03) who won her 4th medal of the tournament. On the men's side, :NOR Sigurd Henriksen prolongated his title on the 5.000m (6:15.30), a landslide in front of :NED Remco Stam (+10.80) and :USA Jordan Stolz (+12.38) also winning his 4th medal (3x gold, 1x bronze).

To no one's surprise :USA Jordan Stolz (1-1-1-3) won the allround title with a 4.308 point gap to the runner-up, which must be the biggest gap ever. :KOR Hojun Yang won silver (9-3-4-9) and :NED Tim Prins won bronze (3-7-2-25). On the women's side, the gap was smaller, but :NED Angel Daleman won the gold (2-1-1-3), 2.266 points in front of :USA Greta Myers (5-3-3-6) and :NED Jade Groenewoud (17-2-6-2).

Shout out to :AUT Jeannine Rosner who finished 5th on the 1.500m and 3.000m as a 15-year old. Looks like Herzog might have a compatriot who has the talent to follow in her footsteps.

Curious to see what :NED Angel Daleman will do as she will be a junior for the next three seasons and is also a world-class junior in short track speed skating.

Doing what Daleman did today and yesterday as a 15-year old is truly insane...just, wow. 1:58, damn.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

On the final day of the Junior World Championships in :GER Inzell, there were only the team events and the mass start left.

Here are the results:

Event Team Sprint Girls Team Sprint Boys Team Pursuit Girls Team Pursuit Boys Mass Start Girls Mass Start Boys
Gold :NED  :USA  :NED  :NED  :NED Angel Daleman :CZE Lukáš Steklý
Silver :KAZ  :NED  :USA  :NOR  :NED Chloé Hoogendoorn :CAN Daniel Hall
Bronze :ITA  :KOR  :GER  :JPN  :KOR Yuna Jeong :USA Jordan Stolz

The Dutch girls won the team pursuit with a 8.7 second lead over the USA, in a time that was faster than the US team that won bronze in the senior World Cup this weekend (although Inzell is a way faster track).

Daleman was part of the team sprint and team pursuit team, securing 3 gold medals in one day and 5 World titles overall this tournament, with one silver and bronze medal added to the mix as well.

Surprising win for Steklý in the mass start. :yes I think he's the first Czech boy to win a world title. He managed to escape with Hall during the race and was slightly faster than the Canadian in the sprint, after he also outsprinted the rest in the semis as well. Stolz (USA), Sasaki (JPN) and Norberg (SWE) fought for bronze. Two Swedish skaters finished in the top 10, as Sebastian Forsmark also finished in the top 10 by taking points in the intermediate sprints. Last week, Kasper Norberg also secured the win in the final Junior World Cup standings on the mass start.

China just missed out on a medal on multiple occasions, despite ranking high in the Junior World Cups this season. However, skaters from 10 different countries won at least one medal on this final day in a tournament where literally all the top juniors were present, so that's a good result. :yes
