I woke up very early today (7:30 AM in Romania) to see the Japanese GP and guess what? After 1 and a half hour from start I saw only 3 laps due to heavy rain in Suzuka:facepalm:and there are no signs that the weather will be better in next hours. Pitty😢

F1 has been trying for a few years to move the Japanese GP to April, since holding a GP in the middle of typhoon season might not be ideal. For whatever reason, the Japanese organizers have been refusing it.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Oh, that was scary.

This is where Freitas should have called the race. Apparently FIA is not in control of the safety, so that's it. Fuji next time, perhaps.

Verstappen wins the race ahead of Perez with Leclerc handed a 5 sec. penalty for leaving the chicane on the final lap and forcing Perez wide.

FIA said Verstappen is 2022 WDC but he actually needs one more point :p

FIA is a clown show. They declared full points since the race didn't end with a red flag so Verstappen is WDC after all.

With the clown show not being the decisions itself in this case, but it not being made clear at all during the race, just to clarify :p

Dutch TV said "but he is NOT the champion!" at least 50 times I think in the moments between the finish (which was rather vague by itself) and the podium ceremony :p

At least in this case it really all wouldn't have mattered much. It was only about whether or not he'd be champion today, because if not, he'd absolutely be champion in one of the next races.
