They lost to Chile in the first match, therefore they missed the gold medal match (there's no semifinals...). Uruguay's women's basketball team also got the bronze medal. Brazil is the clear number one of the south american female rugby, the rest only have a chance in a match with the brazilians drunks after a party. I believe they’d never even won a gold medal before this edition (unless one of PanamSports, ODESUR, Centro Caribe Sports got it wrong.) Their athletes have certainly performed well in Asunción.
