JoshMartini007 2,201 Posted February 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Heading for the home stretch and we still have medal opportunities. Men's ski halfpipe and women's mass start will be the events to watch. The 2-woman bobsled is currently in fourth and a medal is possible, but it will likely take a mistake in the top three to secure it. Additionally, the 4-men bobsled begins today which will be our final hope for a medal on the final day. As much as I would love to see our alpine team luck its way into a medal, the bracket draw is very unfavourable and we already didn't have much of a chance. orangeman

NearPup 2,156 Posted February 19, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2022 No golds in freestyle skiing for the first time since 2002. There were four events then, thirteen now. Embarrassing.

orangeman 1,314 Posted February 19, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2022 Kripps into 3rd after 2 runs, but it'll be very hard to move up. I know this sounds like complaining, but watching bobsled is frustrating because it doesn't really matter if anyone runs better than the Germans, their equipment will always get them down faster. I have a friend who was a luger and he said you could go down completely clean and the Germans could bounce all over the place but it didn't matter because he was using sleds 4 years behind theirs. orangeman 1,314 Posted February 19, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2022 Back to the SOG, GB has officially stripped of their silver in the 4x100 relay, so Canada moves from bronze to silver. JoshMartini007 and Topicmaster1010

I’m a bit worried that the German in 4th is going to close in on Kripps. I hate how the Germans always role out their new equipment during the Olympics. Topicmaster1010 2,331 Posted February 19, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted February 19, 2022 Random useless fun fact: Every Olympian in the Sobey's commercial won a gold medal at these games. We'll see if the Paralympians can follow suit. orangeman
