Belle 714 Posted February 1, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2022 For this thread I’m thinking Dorothea Wierer or/and Petra Vlhova rafalgorka, hckošice and Gianlu33 2

Wumo 2,791 Posted February 1, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Petra Vlhová, as I hope she will win her first Olympic medal. I also have a tendency to support and hope the best for Slovakian athletes and Petra is one who deserve Olympic succes. I also hope the best for Roland Fischnaller. To see him finally winning a medal at his 7th Olympics would bring me joy. pdr4332, Ted, rafalgorka and 1 other 3
rafalgorka 1,362 Posted February 1, 2022 Author #16 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Early thoughts: Sofia Goggia - another gold in DH after this Cortina crash Lara Gut-Behrami - gold in SG Ester Ledecka - any medal in alpine skiing Petra Vlhova - gold in slalom in men's alpine skiing I like (almost) all of them - so I just want to see great, close rivalry and entertaining races with high level of drama, and let the better man win. The same with men's cross-country skiing and biathlon. And both in men and women speed skating, but here I'd like to see a medal for or Jessie Diggins - at least one individual medal Frida Karlsson - at least one gold at least one surprising gold for from someone other than their bigger chances, meaning other than Ivo Niskanen or men's hockey team Ryoyu Kobayashi - Polish jumpers are so weak this season, so if they can't do it, I would like to see ind gold for him Dorothea Wierer - ind gold Marketa Davidova - ind gold a gold for and many great performences in ladies and pairs figure skating - let the better ones win EDIT: Kelly Sildaru, how could i have forgotten her??? ;-) maestro, hckošice, Ted and 1 other
phelps 6,535 Posted February 1, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Irene Schouten (speedskating) because of her story outside the ice track... and Max Parrot, because I know what he's gone through... rafalgorka and maestro 1
mrv86 2,852 Posted February 1, 2022 #18 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Since my expectations for a Mexican medal are so big, here are the athletes I’d like to see on the podium: Loena Hendrickx avoiding a Russian sweep in women’s figure skating or matbe one in Speed Skating Sildaru any short track skater Dukurs and any other athlete in luge Vlhova Castellet in halfpipe I’ll also be delichted with medals by competitors from & Monzanator, Ted, hckošice and 3 others 3
Vic Liu 1,558 Posted February 1, 2022 #19 Share Posted February 1, 2022 I will cheer for figure skating Nathan Chen or Yuzuru Hanyu whoever shows the best form. And also Kamila Valieva, a total enjoyment seeing her skating. rafalgorka and Ted
