rafalgorka 1,361 Posted January 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2022 How many gold medals for the (former???) winter sports powerhouse???
Topicmaster1010 2,182 Posted January 17, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2022 It's hard to see Finland winning more than one gold medal. Niskanen and Parmakoski have the Norwegian, Russian and Swedish skiiers to compete with. Ilkka Herola will have a hard time beating the likes of Riiber and Lamparter. They could have a slight chance in freestyle skiing or the freestyle snowboarding events but they are high variance sports. In women's ice hockey, they'll have to beat both Canada and the US to win gold. The men's team should be pretty good though but ROC should still be better on paper. hckošice 13,127 Posted January 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2022 M Ice Hockey is their biggest hope, with current status without NHLers, they can field the best team and fight for gold with Russia and CAN/SWE. I already have a bet for FIN gold in M hockey and waiting for my money next month + maaaaaybe but really maybe a gold in cross-country (perhaps a surprising one in a crazy teamsprint finish...who know)
