Jamaica tried to go to a 3rd period, but no, goes to the World Cup along with & & still have a chance through repechage, while both & are both out -
They wanted a slam-bang finish to night 1 (and USA gold perhaps), and the men's 10K just wasn't going to cut it. -

I would say Germany, but it depends on the Nordic sports; the other real contender is the United States. With the right combinations, keep an eye on France, which could be the real surprise of these Games. I don't expect anything from Norway: many retirements, too many scandals, declines in some athletes and in some sectors. It won't be a happy Olympics for them.
