Monzanator 3,569 Posted January 21, 2022 #193 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Yes, every deciding set has different rules at every GS now - AO (10 point TB), FO (old school two games advantage), Wimbledon (7 point TB at 12-12) and USO (7 point TB). Amanda Anisimova beat Naomi Osaka 10-5 in third set TB! Guess she might be back after two terrible years. Paula Badosa also through. thepharoah 2,264 Posted January 21, 2022 #194 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Anisimova defeated Osaka in another decisive tie break today , not really surprising result as osaka didn't deliver anything since winning AO back in 2021 Ted and Monzanator 1
Wanderer 1,597 Posted January 21, 2022 #195 Share Posted January 21, 2022 I like Osaka, but finally her ranking (and Kenin's as well) should be where it deserves to be according to the commitment to the tour. Great to see Anisimova is getting slowly back. Would be terrible if she didn't fulfill her potential. Just wanted to see Barty-Osaka match, but this one works too Monzanator and Ted

thepharoah 2,264 Posted January 22, 2022 #199 Share Posted January 22, 2022 I really would love seeing her raising another GS, she sacrificed her career for her child and wasted almost 3 ys for him Makedonas
Monzanator 3,569 Posted January 22, 2022 #200 Share Posted January 22, 2022 Alize Cornet wins on her 32nd birthday and advances to R4. Still no GS QF for her and it might be impossible with Simona Halep next up. Sorana Cirstea beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in three sets and plays Iga Swiatek next.
