Monzanator 3,569 Posted April 8, 2022 #22 Share Posted April 8, 2022 Transgender women will no longer compete under British Cycling competition. I guess the fear of that transgender woman beating Laura Kenny at the national champs the other day proved too big to reveal there is a competitve advantage after all. Boris Johnson also spoke out against it and it's over for now. https://www.bbc.com/sport/cycling/61036110

Grassmarket 2,715 Posted April 28, 2022 #25 Share Posted April 28, 2022 is the home of both Comedy & Tragedy, so appropriately we had both, or almost, in the first stage of the Tour of Greece. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-10762161/Cyclist-Eduard-Prades-crashes-finish-line-wrongly-celebrates-Tour-Hellas-stage-win.html
heywoodu 13,504 Posted May 1, 2022 #26 Share Posted May 1, 2022 This whole Tour of Hellas is being a tragic comedy The Prades thing, on Friday half the lead group crashed in the last turn and yesterday there was a bunch sprint on this nice wide road. Grassmarket 2,715 Posted May 3, 2022 #27 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Nacer Bouhani is not in the 4 Days of Dunkirk this year, so Sam Welsford steps up and challenges his crown as the biggest idiot in World sprinting, gets relegated & probably should have a time penalty that would take him back several years. His 79th pro win and his first since 2019, when he won Paris - Roubaix and two Vuelta stages. Interestingly, the 4 Jours de Dunkerque is where he took only his 6th pro win back in 2005. heywoodu 13,504 Posted May 18, 2022 #30 Share Posted May 18, 2022 Pauliena Rooijakkers takes the win in the Durango Emakumeen Saria in Basque Country. Worries about Demi Vollering though, who over the weekend won the World Tour Itzulia stage race in the Basque Country by winning every single one of the three stages. Yesterday she crashed (before TV coverage started) and was taken to the hospital, but there has been not a single word about her from the team other than that. Nothing on Vollering's social media, where she usually is very active, nothing on the team's social media, just...silence. Which is not at all putting minds at ease considering the Amy Pieters situation.
