I have no idea if there's any truth to this feeling, but I feel like there's so many disappointments, close losses, etc. for the Dutch team already. It might just be that I'm more invested in sports than ever though.

Kimman's gold in BMX and the start of the athletics and track cycling tournaments have done a lot to lift my mood though!

There is still much to come for the Dutch but from now on pretty much everything has to work to shift it around. :)

Stopped watching sports, there are better things in life.

Some of our more 'secure' gold medals are definitely in this second week (Hassan, team sprint, hockey women's team), but let's hope everything works out now!

Many of our close losses weren't necessarily medal favorites, but it was definitely disappointing to see two quarterfinals lost on penalties (women's football, men's hockey), various relays in 4th places (4x100m women, triathlon, judo, mixed 4x400m) and multiple golden scores for bronze lost in judo. Not to mention Van der Poel, women's cycling team and all the covid cases. The bad news has mostly subsided now though.

I am at this point where following all these finals started feeling like a job. Same thing happened in Pyeongchang. Sigh.

Yeah, I started getting that feeling a few days ago. I don’t think it means I’m not enjoying the Games, but perhaps more that I’m becoming increasingly tired and thus following the Games is becoming a bit more tedious because of that.

I used to watch everything but now I just watch a few things that I enjoy (or I'm curious about). The others I just see the results.

Yeah, I’ve tried to watch all medal sessions this time around and I don’t think it’s the most enjoyable way to follow the Games. There’s just too much I want to see, and you can’t really follow anything in earnest when trying to keep up with multiple events at once.
