From Seefeld to Štrbské Pleso (around 800km), You should do it in 8-10 hours by car. 3-4 through Austria and eternity in the remaining 300km terrible, but terrible roads in Slovakia (but the landscapes are beautiful, so if you´ll not drive the car and will be able to watch out of the window your nerve system should be ok)

You know, always when I am here in Europe for the season, I have a "mania" for every trip with the team: nobody is allowed to sit on the seat next door in the back side. It's mine, because it's the closest to the door... 😅 I travel with a pocket attached to my body and inside it I have my passport, train card and residence permit (from NED since this season) and some money, for in case anything happens on the dangerous mountains I can quickly jump out the van/car and have what I need with me to stay alive/people find me/get my way back home. And yeah, phone always in my hands 😅
With that I also get to see well the landscapes, so, that's what I am going to do 😊
*I know it sounds crazy, but we already had some episodes which were scary enough so it was an easy decision for me to start acting like that 🤷🏻♀️😬

Our systme is currently a complete mess nobody really know exactly what is allowed and what does not lol. Sometimes it is very hard to understand and find out how it exactly works also for us mortals in Slovakia
For example we are apparently not allowed to go picnicing or any other trips to the countryside in any other district only in our own one, but we can go to our cottage (Slovaks usually have a cottage somehere outside of cities for weekends or vacations) even if it is in another district. Or we can not go buy clothes or meet on the street with no relative person but kids can go to schools

The truth is that I'm not very sure how it exactly works with this accommodation of foreigners thing.As travels are basically still allowed between countries and there are some international events on the agenda, such as a basketball qualification SVK-BEL or a Euroleague football between Slovan and PAOK or other events like FIS races.I mean, Those people still have to be accommodated somewhere, right ? It is quite cold here .So I think there is probably some exception from the lockdown measures this case, maybe foreigners can be accomodated even in hotels or stuff like that but only in somethinkg like just sleep and stay mode, so no Fitness, no wellness, no meals in the restaurants etc... for example.
I will have to look at this in more detail.In any case, if the lockdown ends after those 2 weeks like promissed, remember that Slovakia will return to the covid map-automat system.The district in black will have to be basically still in a sort of a mild lockdown (mass events with limited attendance etc...). Went for an easy 7.5k today, but since I had registered for the 10km at the virtual Ushuaia Loppet (cross-country marathon in Argentina, which is cancelled but now has a virtual race for 5/10/21/42km where one can choose running, skiing or rollerskiing) and this is the last week, I decided to go for my goal of 55 minutes and see where it ended up, mostly so I could cross it through and be done with it

I will take my rest serious, specially today that I still have pain from the injection and finding a position to sleep was a hard challenge. Walking a lot is not in my plans for today...
This thing with the governments (from all over the world) is so ridiculous... There will always be something that they do for their good instead of thinking about the population. About São Paulo and USA, I still can't believe that Doria and Trump won the elections. I hope this changes next time.
Around 5 hours in the hospital, what a waste of time ??♀️
14 days after coming back from Italy, I started to show symptoms of a strong flu. For me, just a coincidence, considering that I had trained hard intervals under strong rain here in my city (so, "this flu probably came because of that and not the coronavirus").
I had all symptoms, except for fever and this was the main reason I didn't go to the hospital earlier. In the hospital here, doesn't matter if you've been in Europe or China, any infected country and you have the symptoms of coronavirus. If you have no fever, you can't even be tested. So, I knew it would have been a waste of time (I was so right!)
Today I decided to go to the hospital for two reasons - I am getting worse (last night I couldn't sleep before 4:30am due to the pain in my chest while breathing) and this morning my dad suddenly had some symptoms of flu (including fever).
In the hospital I explained my situation, the nurses asked me to put a mask on, I was classified as danger/priority and was sent to a doctor's room.
Well, she (the doctor) examined my throat and the sounds of my breathing (lungs) and heartbeat. Due to what she heard, I needed to get inhalation and due to the inflammation in my throat I needed to get an injection (painful, I couldn't walk for some minutes ??),
X-ray of my chest (showing a inflammation in my lungs - not so bad, but I have to take care of), blood and urine exams (which results prove that I have an infection). Still, the doctor was not allowed to send me to do the exam for coronavirus because I have no fever ??♀️ she tried to convince the boss of the hospital because she wasn't accepting to send me home without checking what is going on with me (her words "it's visible this is not just a normal flu, the symptoms started exactly 14 days after coming back from North Italy and she has all symptoms except just for fever. We should test her"). I am happy she was worried about me, it shows that at least some people in that hospital love their jobs, not just the money. Anyway, her request was refused "because I don't fit in the criterias of the state's government so the hospital is not allowed to test me".
I imagine how many people may be in the same situation as me in the state of São Paulo (who knows also other states) just because the government of the state doesn't want to make the number of suspected and positive cases higher ?
My dad went to the hospital later today. He had fever, so maybe he would be tested. But guess what? No... The doctor who examined him (another one) didn't even look at his face. He sent my dad for an injection for the fever and for an exam for Dengue ??♀️
I am already 4 days without training and the doctor asked me to take medicines (I have a long list) and rest
As an athlete and having the first stage of the Brazilian Rollerski Circuit coming next week, I am really not happy with "having to rest". But I have no other option because last time I tried to train, it was hard to breathe and my chest was hurting like about to explode by so much pressure, even though it was a slow pace.
I notified someone from my federation about it and said that I am not sure I can entry for the races next week (for my health and also for the safety of the other athletes) and I was told that I should entry and race anyway because otherwise I could get in "one more trouble" with the federation.

Conclusion: we will never know, but, I hope it's just a strong flu.
Also, in advance, I don't promise any great results in the races next week, sorry.

Second, his close contacts(family members, co-workers) will be quarantine in a hotel for 14 days. Third, his other contacts( neighbors, people wherever he met in a short time) will be asked to quarantine at home for 14 days. local government staff will be responsible to monitor and deliver food and goods during home-quarantine. Hospital treatment and mandatory hotel quarantine are free of charge ( very socialism haha). A great social loss for China but finally the situation is under control now.

Ok, we should not panic. But what about the safety of the ones who live with this man? I don't think he is gonna stay 14 days completely isolated in a room in his house. Also, about the safety of himself... we see that a large part of the deaths are old people. I would not accept to be sent home if I were in his place ?
Well, that's it. I gave everything I could with what I had. I am glad for today's race. I don't care about my position, just about what I did, and have finished the race with my face straight on the snow, needing to be cared by the IBU doctors to rest in a bed for quite good minutes while they were checking on me and giving me medicines to help me to breathe and feel better makes me sure that I gave everything I could. This is a good feeling for a last biathlon race, helps me on feel better in a moment like this (I still love biathlon). Thanks to everyone who was cheering for me, thank you for all the kindness and support. Now it's time to focus on the fight for the cross country Olympic ticket.

I think we should add 500km event where athletes have to shoot every 2km. It will start on the first day of the Winter Olympics and finish on the morning of the last
There’s no official breaks, but athletes are allowed to sleep by camping on the trails
I will say that as a fan though, I like when good shooting is rewarded. That’s what makes the individual such a great event in my opinion. Shooting is a killer in that event, same with the current sprint format.
Yes, I understand. As a biathlete, I consider the shooting part the greatest one in the races. But the Super Sprint shows who can really be the fastest/better in both shooting and skiing and for me that's what "Sprint" really means.
So it’s true that athletes like the super sprint then? There’s been some debate about that amongst fans.
I know some other athletes (IBU Cup level) that like the Super Sprint. Honestly, I see no reason why not, that's a real Sprint and everything happens so fast. The penalty loop is short, so in case everything goes wrong at the shooting range, ski fast and you still can get something. Apart from that, the spare munition is a plus to make it exciting ?
