Yesterday was held the eventing "test-event" in Versailles. The main goal was to test the quality of the ground and the stability of the bridge on the canal. Only 4 (unknown?) riders took part.

What happens if they go 450-450 (1st-7th) or 440-440 (2nd-9th)?

According to FEI rule book, nation with higher number of participations ranks higher, if it's still a tie, total of penalties across all legs. Spain and Italy both competed in all events so it will go to the later in case of a tie.

:SWE :GBR :IRL qualified (so far). Also the current podium (among finishers).

:NED :FRA :GER can still win a medal and/or earn quota.

Given that France isn't in the run for quotas, we know for sure the 5 qualified?

For individual competition how many riders will make it into final round and will they start from zero mistakes, or it's even accumulated in final round

Top 25 qualifies for the final (and  only top 50 advances to tomorrow). no clearing of the scores, all 4 days are added.

I suspect the Brazilian rider will have a fence down and then immediately retire.

It would raise his chance of delivering a random clear tomorrow. :p

It would have been better. What a terrible (half) round

Ouch, it seems a really bad fall for the French Staut

Hope he didn't hurt himself...

Riders eliminated today can go forward in the competition, with highest score of the riders that have completed the course + 20 points of penalty.

The scores are not cleared before the final so it would not make much sense for him to carry on, given the good scores of the rest of the team
