  1. Past hour
  2. First prelims today Women’s single (top 2 from each heat into finals) Men’s singles (top 2 from each heat into SF) Lightweight women double (prelim race order) lightweight men (top one into final) in the first heat & both close to Poland. In second, Ukraine just beat Suspect all other crews out of quota contention
  3. Today
  4. Pimenov prvi u svojoj grupi u kvalifikacijama danas na evropskim kvalifikacijama. Deluje da ima dobru šansu za kvotu ovde, 3 se dele, ali polako, polufinale sutra, finale u nedelju.
  5. While I don’t think she will win a medal (she hasn’t been top 5 in any race this year), she’s a very interesting character. Shes 28 and this is her first ever professional season. Before this year her only races were representing her country
  6. Mendrek/Kral won't have any issue with the outcome of this dispute. They are safe. The one who should be watching this is the next eligible men's singles player since an extra quota would open in men's singles if the Popovs are selected. In normal circumstances, indeed France can just simply choose who should play in Paris 2024 (be it from ranking or who the federation deemed to have better chances). But this is caused by BWF which did not do their job properly and Corvee/Labar got robbed caused by a mistake that is only fixed after the last tournament for Olympic qualification. The French Federation doesn't want to be a villain to their own players, so they simply handed this mess to the one who caused it (and tried their luck a bit with this excessive demand).
  7. As far as I could tell, there is no specific thread for this but with the first gold medals, and I didn't think it'd be big enough to open one, so here we go It's not a first medal, since Mauritius has won one bronze medal in boxing once, but they surprisingly have a shot in women's cycling this year. It's not a huge chance, obviously, but in Tokyo we saw how someone who wasn't even considered on any list of dark horses ended up with the gold due to the Dutch women totally fucking up their tactics, so weird things can always happen Kimberley Le Court Pienaar has been very impressive this year, often fighting at the front of the very biggest one-day races. Again, she is far from being the favourite, but I'd say her chances are significantly bigger than Anna Kiesenhofer's chances were ahead of Tokyo, and we know how well that ended. Definitely worth a mention, the chance exists!
  8. Well, I think badminton Federation will closely watch this as pair Medrek/Král should be taking the last qualifying spot. I understand that France is the host but in order to enter 2 pairs, they would have to have best pair ranked in top 8. The rules are strict, but 17 pairs, it would be too troublesome. But at some point, they can actually choose which pair they want to qualify. Or they want to enter 2 pairs because Popovs are both high ranked players in singles so they could use this as a leverage??
  9. Very unlikely will get one since they've already qualified one athlete in men's singles.
  11. Here’s my schedule for this week. NHL (Playoffs, mainly Canucks v. Predators. Game three from 4:30-7:15 PM on April 25, Game four from 2:30-5:15 PM on April 28, Game five from 7:00-9:45 PM (probably) on April 30), Athletics (Suzhou Diamond League from 4:00- 6:00 AM on April 27), Beach Volleyball (Elite16 Uberlandia starting May 1), Tennis (Madrid Open), 3x3 Basketball (Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2) No Mixed Doubles Curling World Championships, as it’s not streaming in Canada, and I’m not paying Recast to watch it (nor watching a million ads) I’ll also be following along with the results of the Archery World Cup Shanghai, Beach Volleyball Challenge Xiamen, Sailing French Regatta, American/Oceania Judo Championships, and any athletics/swimming meets I can find.
  12. Anna Elendt hat laut eigenen Angaben die Norm: Anna Elendt (@annaelendt) • Instagram-Fotos und -Videos
  13. This was on Tuesday, but I forgot to share this save of the year candidate by Bobrovsky @Topicmaster1010 @hckošice you’re gonna want to see this one.
  14. American/Oceanian Championships start on Saturday. No Klimkait or Beauchemin-Pinard, but otherwise all of our big names are competing.
  15. So I'm guessing you're even less of a fan of Omanyala? At least Lyles backed up the most important of his talks, Omanyala just said he was going to win every 100m and then lost everything
  16. Too cocky, and has way too big of an ego for my liking. Not saying you can’t be confident, but if you’re going to talk the talk at least back it up. Sure, he did win the three gold medals he said he was going to win in Budapest, but he also said he was going 9.65 in the 100m, 19.10 in the 200m, and a WR in the 4x100m relay. He was nowhere close to those times, going 9.83 in the 100m and 19.52 in the 200m, along with being about a half second off the WR in the 4x100m relay. In 2022, Lyles was talking about how United States would be guaranteed gold if he was on the 4x100m relay. He was on the squad, but had a bad handoff and it wasn’t a great leg of running by him either. Overall, he just seems to be such a dick. Props to him for the “World champions of what?” comment though.
  17. Rowing WR European Championships 2024 Szeged (HUN) - 25 April 2024 - 28 April 2024 Official Website Programme Results System Results Database Facebook Page Discussion Thread
  18. 1-Boxing women , because Men's cheat 2- Athletics except long distances 3- Gymnastic maybe medal for 4-fencing/judo 5- and my favorite the thread of doping
  19. Ana whatever embarrased herself ''oh my god,i'm gonna not fight this Russian, watch me litereally GIVE THE RUSSAN A CHANCE FOR GOLD'' wow,so stunning,so brave,i'm so glad Lithuanians are slamming her for this.
  20. Whom do you feel is likely to take the Universality quotas. Will it be and in men and and in women?
  21. https://results.smartscoring.com/ here you must chose appartus and which one
  22. Boosts team rankings. I feel team qualification is almost confirmed; however the women would have to fight it out
  23. As a sport I'd put (men's) weightlifting high on my list, haven't seen it since Tokyo despite always enjoying it. Just have mixed feelings about it because of the tiny field size. Same kind of thing with wrestling, I find it fun to watch but never really get to it, so I'm looking forward to that as well. Most of the running events in athletics, the 100m freestyle in swimming, most of the rowing, obviously the mountainbike...I'm surely forgetting some things but off the top of my head I am definitely looking forward to those
  24. Sha'carri is eh,i would say she's improved a little if 2022 sha'carri won the world championships,i would of hated it,but she seems to be taking shit seriously now.Not really a fan but i don't really dislike her anymore. She's mid for me i guess.
  25. What's the problem with Lyles? I get Richardson, but Lyles doesn't seem to be all over the top (for a sprinter, at least)? Of course anyone has their favourites and dislikes (personally for example I'm beyond happy that the aggressive idiot Mekhissi-Benabbad isn't competing anymore, although it'd have been even better to see him compete and fail miserably at home...probably the only athleted I'd wish that one, since most of my other dislikes I just, well, kind of dislike, but don't really wish ill or anything )
  26. Where can one find the full timetable for the apparatus finals? All I can find on Wikipedia and official websites is a generic thing saying "apparatus finals, part 1" or something, but I want the actual timetable (like, at the very least which apparatus finals are on which day?)
