On the women's side, maybe. On the men's side/mixed, much less likely. The Dutch women and the British women in the freestyle relays have an outside shot to nab a bronze if they are at their best and if Canada or China are not at the absolute top of their game in Paris. On the men's side it is far more open. The 4x100m freestyle alone could have 5 reasonable medal shouts - China, Aus, USA, Italy and GB. And you would probably add South Korea in the 4x200m and France in the medley as having respectable shots.

Ja, sie ist startberechtigt und ich glaube nicht, dass der DSV sich da bei einem Einzelstart querstellen würde. Bedenklich finde ich das vor allem, weil es meiner Ansicht nach kein gutes Zeichen ist. Ich denke schon, dass sie die Norm abhaken wollte, und kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass sie freiwillig auf die letzte Chance verzichtet. Hoffentlich ist es nichts Schlimmeres.

Oh nein die hat die Norm in den USA ja gleich zwei Mal um 2 Hundertstelsekunden verpasst. Über die 100m Lagen-Staffel dürfte sie zwar sicher in Paris dabei sein, aber zumindest über die 100m Brust hatte ich sie für einen Einzelstart auf dem Zettel. Wobei sie die Norm ja im April 2023 geschwommen ist, d.h. rein formal wäre sie startberechtigt. Und wenn sie eh wegen der Staffel in Paris ist, fände ich es schon seltsam wenn der DSV sie dann nicht im Einzel starten lassen würde (insbesondere wenn man die knapp verpasste Quali bedenkt).

Miroslaw fehlt und, was ich alarmierender finde, weil sie die Norm noch nicht hat, auch Anna Elendt. Ich habe mal die bisherigen SBs von Sorgius, Märtens, Miroslaw und Salchow addiert und dann die geschätzten Zeiten für den fliegenden Wechsel abgezogen und komme so auf eine Zeit, die bei der letzten WM Platz 5 gewesen wäre. Also für eine Medaille müssen die dieses Jahr noch schneller schwimmen.

Nach den Ergebnissen der letzten Großereignisse würde ich Florian Wellbrock nur ungern über die 800m bei Olympia sehen, insbesondere wenn wir da mit mit Oliver Klemet und Sven Schwarz zwei richtig gute Leute als Alternative haben, denen ich auf jeden Fall eine Finalteilnahme zutraue. Eher würde ich noch Lukas Märtens auf der Strecke bevorzugen, aber der konzentriert sich ja auf die 200m und 400m Freistil. Wie seht ihr eigentlich die Chancen über die 4x200m Freistil? Mit Märtens und Miroslaw haben wir da ja zwei, die in Richtung Finale oder zumindest Halbfinale im Einzelwettbewerb schwimmen können. Dahinter wären nach aktuellem Stand dann Josha Salchow und Timo Sorgius, denen ich bei der DM auch noch eine Verbesserung in Richtung Olympianorm zutraue (wobei ich nicht glaube, dass sie Miroslaw noch vom Einzelplatz verdrängen werden (den sehe ich im Übrigen nicht auf der Startliste, weiß da jemand was?). Das sollte doch eine brauchbare Staffel ergeben, bzw. voraussichtlich die Staffel bei der man ggf. von einer Medaille träumen könnte?
