Athletics - Will any Asian nation win a medal in the marathon? - Will Kenyan athletes sweep men's 3000 m steeplechase? - Will any of ex-Soviet republic win gold in throwing events? - Will Olympic records from East Germany or USSR be broken in Rio? Badminton - Will there be athlete not from Asia or Europe advance to the knock-out stage of the men's or women's singles? Table tennis - Will China won all of the gold medal again?
