Tennis

Saketh Myneni gave a mighty scare to the world number 49 Jiri Veseley before limping out of the US Open as leg spasms scuttled his victory march.

Good effort by Saketh Myneni.... but this is second time he gets cramped in a 5 setter match which seems to be little absurd at professional tennis (luckily he got through against korean in davis cup as korean was also in same position)

So India's love with loosing the plot at the last moment continues even after olympics... 1st it was india cricket  team making a mess out of scoring 8 runs from 6 balls... now Saketh continues it by losing the match despite leading 5-2 in final set and having match point

Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt will have to wait to know whether his bronze medal from the 2012 Olympics is upgraded to silver till the time his sample is cleared by the WADA.

This is obviously for the record books as Yogeshwar has shown nice gestures by allowing the deceased's family to keep the silver medal with them.

After personal bests in Rio , Marathon runners Kheta Ram , T Gopi and Rawat have targeted to break the national records because they feel this is the only way to garner public attention and revive long distance running in India which is considered less glamorous compared to the short distance sprints

If we don't even spend a million $  in players from where we would get quality players. We have to get some non famous players at these rates. The good would be ready atleast at $2-3 Million...then only we can raise our level.
