Prashanth 157 Posted March 7, 2018 #6391 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Hima Das surprised all by cracking the CWG qualifying mark of 52.00s on her debut run with 51.97s and qualifying. Looks like she would be a better quarter miler than sprint...if she gets good opponents then a sub 51 is surely possible with good practice. Prashanth 157 Posted March 7, 2018 #6392 Share Posted March 7, 2018 (edited) Neeraj Chopra who had already matched the AFI’s qualifying guidelines of 81.80m at the Indian Grand Prix last month, recorded what was the second best performance of his career and the best throw ever recorded on Indian soil with a 85.94m. A strong Gold medal contender to compensate for the gold we won in Discus last time around. He is the 2nd best thrower in this season so far. Prashanth 157 Posted March 7, 2018 #6393 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Tejinder Pal Toor needed just one throw to better the AFI’s qualifying guideline of 20.20m, by hurling the iron sphere 20.24m. If he achieves his goal of 21m in CWG a medal can be expected from him. Tokyo - 2020 Go India Go
Prashanth 157 Posted March 7, 2018 #6394 Share Posted March 7, 2018 M Sreeshankar, who leaped into the junior record books with a jump of 7.99m, he fell just 1 cm short of the AFI qualifying standard mark of 8.00m set for his event. I hope they send him to CWG. This 18 year old needs to be nurtured properly and moved forward. Tokyo - 2020 Go India Go

Both heights being the PB of both the athletes. Tokyo - 2020 Go India Go
