toulousain 35 Posted January 10, 2018 #14 Share Posted January 10, 2018 5 French players out of 8 won their first round, not so bad. Bourgue, Halys, Sakharov, Robert and Hemery in. Mahut, de Schepper and Millot out. We can also point out the victory of Darian King
stefanbg 155 Posted January 11, 2018 #15 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Oh no no no, Rublev vs Dimitrov in R3 and then the winner against Kyrgios. Not a good draw for Grisho at all
LDOG 2,199 Posted January 11, 2018 #16 Share Posted January 11, 2018 So,let's see... Section 1 - Nadal vs no one Section 2 - Cilic should walk this Section 3 - Dimitrov/Rublev vs Kyrgios/Shapovalov/Tsonga in R 16, the toughest section Section 4 - The weakest section, Sock or Anderson should be winners... Section 5 - Thiem, Wawrinka and nothing else. Think Thiem will take this one seeing Wawrinka is not fit. Section 6 - Should be Djokovic - A. Zverev in R16 but I wouldn't be surprised if Zverev loses before. Section 7 - Goffin vs Del Potro, but delpo will have to be careful in his 1st round match vs Tiafoe. Section 8 - Federer vs Raonic/Querrey
Quasit 849 Posted January 11, 2018 #17 Share Posted January 11, 2018 So why exactly did Bedene compete for GB only to switch back to Slovenia? Stopped watching sports, there are better things in life.

He represented Slovenia when he turned pro in 2008. On 31 March 2015, Bedene was granted UK citizenship and represented Great Britain, but the International Tennis Federation has rejected his application to represent Great Britain in the Davis Cup as he had previously played three dead rubbers for Slovenia .After his appeals failed, Bedene switched his nationality back to Slovenia for the 2018 season. thepharoah 2,284 Posted January 11, 2018 #20 Share Posted January 11, 2018 (edited) Nadal once again got the easiest Possible draw , Federer's path to Quarters doesn't look so hard on paper , but Raonic or Querry can be very dangerous on a good day , in Quarters he's 2 players defeated him in 2 major tournaments at the end of last season , so i think it's time for revenge , Nole has Monfils in 2nd Rd and he always struggle in early rounds , so it'd no be that easy ofc. , but if he can qualify to 4th Rd wouldn't be that hard to defeat Zverev who could be eliminated earlier , just hope for a non-injury tournament Edited January 11, 2018 by thepharoah
