Italian TV say that :TGA Pita want compete in swimming in Tokyo2020 and try to become the 1st (?) atlete to compete in 3 different sports at Olympics :cheer:

Off the top of my head Georgia Simmerling of Canada has competed in Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing and Track Cycling (where she won a bronze medal). Technically two sports and three discipline.

You mean after Jaqueline Mourão (mountain bike, cross-country skiing, biathlon)? :p (and probably more athletes :p )

Yesterday the Swimming Marathon World Cup started in Doha (QAT)

 

and it was quite a Dutch show, with both wins going to Sharon Van Rouwendaal among the women and Ferry Weertman among the men (where 1500m Freestyle Olympic Champion Gregorio Paltrinieri made his world cup debut...and it was a quite encouraging one)...

Caleb Dressel made new American record in men's 50 yards freestyle and become the 1st swimmer to go under 18 seconds with 17.63 sec. with 1 second margin off the silver medalist Ryan Held in the NCAA final yesterday

Anyway, Swimming will be the main contributor to the USA winning most medals (and Golds) again in 2020. :d
