Six PGA Tour wins, not bad :p

Ok quite long ago, but still.

well, he's basically a former player...

I mean, he's still competing on the major tour, but all of his good results are from 8 or more years ago...

in Golf you can never exclude a "one-hit wonder", but it's reasonably fair to say that his chances to win an important tournament (and/or an Olympic medal) are nowadays very, very slim...

p.s. and in any case he's not elegible to take part in the Ryder Cup, since he's not registered as a European Tour "regular" nor he did begin his pro career first in the European Tour (and only then going in the US)...

and you need to fulfill at least one of those 2 requirements to become elegible for the Ryder Cup...

I would say that a result like 5th at Valspar Championship is pretty good and he is 163rd on the World Ranking.

No doubt that his very best is some time ago (the latest of his 20 best results (points-wise on the WR) was back in 2012.

But it's afterall easier to win the Olympics than win at the PGA Tour.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Great, that´s what we needed a jerk in the team. Brilliant shopping

He will still need special permission from the IGF to compete for Slovakia in Tokyo as he was not a Slovakian citizen when the Olympic qualifying period began in July.

It´s official. On Wednesday, he officially took the promise at the General Consulate of the Slovak Republic in New York :p and officially received his citizenship.

According to the president of our Golf Association in this article, he managed to reach it in the required deadline by the International Golf Federation regarding his eventual participation in Tokyo as Slovak athlete. From today on In the whole qualifying period, he will be registered as a Slovak athlete,

To motivate his players, the captain of the European Ryder Cup team, Thomas Bjorn, had promised them that he would get a tattoo if they beat USA.

It ended with a Ryder cup victory for Team Europe, and here about three months later, Bjorn has kept his promise.

He must really regret he made this promise.
